Have used it with rabbits, chickens and ducks. Much cleaner look without the pine shavings smell. No issues with anyone trying to eat the stuff.

The bedding is the best I've used so far. For those of you wondering, no this particular bag does not contain baking soda. My hamster loves this bedding. Before I found this bedding, I used aspen. My hamster didn't mind the aspen, but he seems to be a lot more comfortable with this kind of bedding. I've heard people say that this bedding smells bad, it does have an odd smell, but I wouldn't classify it as terrible. It does expand and it is very fluffy. I have a pretty good size cage ( an 110 qt. bin) and it only takes around 1/4 of a bag to fill his cage. I put around 5" of bedding in half of his cage and in the other half I use kids play sand. If you wanted to fill up the whole cage with the bedding, depending on how thick, it would probably take around 1/2 a bag for a 150 sq. ft. like mine.

This bedding is absolutely perfect! I have no complaints and only praises. It is super soft, wonderful quality, scentless, and safe for hamsters. There is little to no dust in it which is perfect for rodents which are highly susceptible to respiratory issues. The amount you get for the price and quality of the bedding is worth it. I have bought it numerous times and will continue to do so! My hamsters love it!

Overall this bedding is my go-to. It absorbs great, it last longer than previous beddings I have used for my guinea pigs and rats, and it is easier to clean. The only problem I have had with this bedding is as you are cleaning the bedding, it has a chemical like smell. I don't believe it to be dangerous its just animal substances mixing with the products in the bedding but it's still an odd smell. Other than that I will continue to use this bedding.

This is the best bedding on the market when it comes to the health of your small animals. It has great absorbency and no dust. The trade out is because of the lack of scent, odor control isn't great. Unfortunately the artificial scents or dusty pine aren't great for small mammal respiratory systems so this is really what they need. A little goes a long way. Easy to scoop out for cleaning.
