This book tells a wonderful story and introduces a range of fascinating characters through both well-known and less familiar animals, providing educative insight in a light-heartened manner. The use of beautiful pictures rather than illustrations really helps to bring a little piece of Africa to your home, while the story also offers a creative way in which to broach the subject of endangered species and human's influence on local environments. I was also very pleased to read that proceeds from the book would be donated to a range of wildlife charities - great job to all involved!

I bought this book for my children in order to expand their love for nature and introduce them to different animals that they don’t see in another childrens books. They absolutely love turning the pages and finding a new animal that they have never come across and the illustrations are really fantastic! It was also important for me to purchase this book in order to help different animal charities. I highly recommend it!!!

Hi - i'm Gemma, daughter of Jeff Ginsberg the author. This beautiful book was born out of the stories my Dad used to tell my twin sister and I at a very young age before we fell asleep. The magical adventures of an adorable troop of bush babies and all their animal friends helped us to fall in love with nature from our early years and we were blessed to visit Africa later on to develop this sense of respect. What a beautiful and magical book! I was totally mesmerised by the lovely story and stunning imagery. This is a wonderful way to teach little ones about the animals and nature of the African bush and will hopefully lead to further interest into this beautiful part of the world. This will give you and your family that little bit of escapism we all need right now. Highly recommend!

I bought this book for my grandchildren . They have a love of animals and it appealed to me ... we all absolutely love it . It feeds my soul and delights the kids . Its beautifully written and illustrated . The story feels like an old soul is speaking and a spirit of wisdowm washes over us ......

I can see this lovely book both delighting and educating children, together with those sharing it with them. Although I am an animal lover, I was surprised to discover from it many animals and birds I hadn’t previously been aware of. It is my hope - as no doubt it must be a strong desire of the author - that children will grow up knowing the importance of the natural world and how worthy it is of respect and protection.

A truly special and magical story. The story is filled with so much care, love and respect for animals and wildlife. It transports you into the African bush with beautiful photography and rich colours. I loved it as an adult and I know I would have loved it even more as a child. A perfect gift!

This has quickly become a favorite book for our children. My older child is thrilled to “go on safari” using the checklist on the back and finding all the animals. The storytelling is incredible, and truly captures for kids the magic of the African bushveld. Combined with the engaging photos of the animals, it holds the attention even of my youngest (who loves Papa Sigo most of all). On top of all this, a portion of proceeds goes to protect the same animals featured in the book. Finally, a purchase I don’t have to feel guilty about! Highly recommend!

A warm imaginative story about friends and nature perfect for all ages. The wildlife pictures bring home the feel of the African bush and the story is captivating, especially for younger readers. The photos are beautiful and the book wgives a real sense of the wildlife in South Africa. I personally know Jeffrey Ginsberg. We lived on the same block in South Africa for at least twenty years. I purchased the book to read it myself and to pass it on to four year old twin boys who are my neighbor and friends now.

The author through his writing was able to transport us into the magical kingdom of the Mazimba Berry Tree Best Friends. Beautifully written.My grandchildren listened carefully as I read the book to them.They loved the photos of all the animals in their natural habitat.The checklist in the back made it possible to continue the intrigue and magic.Cant wait for the next book in this series.

Great children's book! Very cleverly written with great images. A very fun way to teach about the animals and I love the animal search at the end of the book! A creative way to keep reading the same book and keeping kids engaged every page!
