Furtastic! Best Andis blade for thick coat.
My dog is an AKC Registered GrizzleMutt. His outer coat is silky and long cocker spaniel, while his undercoat is a mix of sheepdog, rottweiler, catahoula, cane corso, and probably sheep and grizzly bear. Since moving to a colder climate (AK), he has pushed his fur growing abilities to a new level and now requires shearing at least every 3 months. His fur never stops, it grows to the floor. If he could donate his fur to a good cause (toupees?) he would. The downside of his gift is that even in the middle of an Arctic winter he is a sweaty, matted mess if I don't shear him regularly. And before anyone fur-shames him, he LOVES to be sheared and LOATHES being brushed. When his coat is even halfway grown out, he is a grouchy ball of matted sheep/grizzly fur who spends all day seeking out the coldest spot in the house. The second he is sheared, he becomes a young punk again, darting around like he's a spry 10 year old. I swear by Andis blades, and the 3/4" cut length is pure heaven. No guard needed, just be aware that the tips of the longest blade are a little sharp. So be sure they don't point directly into the skin as you shear; they should always be pointed at a slight angle. This new blade cut shearing time from 3 hours down to 1.5, which my back is grateful for. I wish I'd bought this blade 10 years ago, I'd have about a year of my life back. And the blade cuts like butter, smoothly and evenly. They never once got too hot. Other Andis blades with guards usually leave funny track marks in his fur, like vacuumed carpet. This new blade did not leave permanent "tracks," instead preserving his dignity so he can continue to awkwardly hit on the single ladies. My dog practically groaned in ecstasy as I shared the masses of yeti fur from his hindquarters. It got a little weird, not gonna lie. Recommend this for any dog with an equally thick undercoat. I use the Finish Cut blade for his paws and to tidy up around his ears. Before pic: about 3 months in to a grow-out. Pouting in a corner. After: proud of his furbabies! Yielded a bumper crop of 2 bags full of the Easiest Pet Ever (keep away from draft and flame).

Fantastic addition to grooming supplies
Used this head to replace a shorter blade with a separate guide. The guide would occasionally come off, resulting in a cut too close and an inconsistent finish. This blade cuts to the perfect length with no issues and it works much faster since you don’t have to be as careful. It’s a bit costly but very well made and worth every penny. We use it to groom our Golden Doodle.

Great blade for my two Shepadoodles
Clean cutting and a great length for winter. I usually use a 1/2" blade but for February, a little more length is nice for these active dogs.

Great for doodles!
This went through my standard goldendoodle’s hair like butter! I wish I’d bought this two years ago when we got her! It’s the perfect length for me to not have to brush daily. I will probably need to trim her more often, about every two-3 weeks, instead of 4-5 weeks. That is ok because it only took an hour to trim the entire dog! Usually I spend about 3 hours on her. It clips right on the Andis Pro Clippers very easily. It stayed pretty cool for the entire hour I was working. It left my doodle’s hair about 1” long when going with the growth of the hair. Definitely worth the money!

It fits my Andis AGC2 perfectly.
Great blade. For those of you who may have a problem attaching this blade to your AGC2 here is how to put the blade on. 1. Seat the blade peg into the blade attachment slot. 2. Press the blade release button at the back. Hint: keep the button pressed in the whole time. 3. Press the blade down - the whole time you are holding the button in, and the blade will seat itself. 4. Now stop pressing the button. 5. Double check that the blade is seated perfectly. If it is you are ready to start grooming your pet. 6. When ready to change out the blade - just press the blade release button again. I have to do the above steps for the following blades: 3 3/4 FC, 3/4 HT, 7FC, 7 FT, 8 1/2, 4 FC Hopes this helps anyone who is having difficulty attaching your blades.

Awesome!
Like other reviews...I was able to remove excess hair without scalping my poor dog! He doesn't look like a French Hairless! It grows back quickly but I'll be using this blade frequently. Actually bought another one today as a backup.

This did not work on our dog, probably because his hair is a different texture than many other dogs. Easy return to a great company
