is the basket removable for cleaning?

Yes you can take it out clean it up dry it off the put it back. My kids are 15 and 16 and love this air dry cooker.

I know the grill is steel ,but is the rest of the basket stainless steel or is it plastic? Will the food heat up while touching the plastic?

Main portion of the basket is a black finished metal. A magnet will stick to it so its not aluminum. Only plastic is in the handle and its attachment to the metal basket. No plastic would/should touch the food.

What is the demention of air fryer ? and of the basket.

The interior basket size is 10" X 10". The machine is just shy of 14" tall. Measures 11" wide from side to side. Measures 16" wide from front to back including the handle. It is an amazing machine. Extremely pleased with this purchase. Hope this helps you.

How can I tell if the non stick surface of the basket and rack are Teflon coated?

I don't know they are metal mesh
