QCAA Steel Blind Shutter Hinge for Wood Frame & Brick, 1-1/16", Power Coated Black, 4 Pack (2 Pair), Made in Taiwan

We recently replaced the original shutters on our 60-year-old house and wanted to go with a more authentic look. These are very high quality hinges that provide a lot of stability and functionality. We used them on heavy cedar shutters and they’ve performed beautifully. My contractor was impressed with them, which is always a good sign!

These hinges were used on a mountain cabin for shutters. They are sturdy and were easy to install.

Product arrived quickly. Metal and finish quality were excellent. Installation was easy and made my project a success.

So they are nice enough, lighter and thinner than the flat shutter hinges i got previously. The good: Each pack has a top and bottom hinge, which is nice. The bad: Some of the posts are not plum or true. By that i mean the post was slightly twisted to one side and inward at the tip. Had to beat on it a bit to get it to sit flat in relation to the door The worse: Of the two hinges in the pack, one is a fairly sharp corner to 45 degrees (or whatever angle it is). The other is a more gentle curve. Both packs had this same issue and it was the same piece (i.e. bottom bracket). Maybe this is intentional, i dont know. I do know this offsets the shutters as the curved piece is a shorter distance (shorter hypotenuse) and pulls the door in a good 1/4". So will they work? Sure. But I'm glad this isnt a piece of fine furniture.

This is exactly what I needed to match my existing shutter hinges.

Might hold 2 pounds.

Product was scratched, some mounting pins were welded incorrectly and the mounting straps are not flat. Overall, I would not buy again.

I live in a coastal area and should have known better. Rusted out in 6 months.
