What makes the cg009 sae connector incompatible with the genius 26000 charger, wire size or type of connector?

The GC009's wire gauge is too small, and does not have the HD X-Connect Connection type that the G26000 requires.

Why is not compatible with noco boost? what's the difference between the alligator clamps and this? is a x connector right? makes no sense to me

I can tell you the difference between the alligator clips and this, and make an educated guess about the Noco Boost. The xconnect is special to Noco and this cable converts the plug to the more available (in the US) SAE plug. Many of our small chargers and maintainers have this plug and it makes it easy to hook the Genius charger up to the pigtail that I have on my motorcycle, for instance. I have seen the alligator clips for the small Noco boost and they have much heavier cable attached to handle the high amps. The small clamps that come with the Genius charger I have would melt the first time you tried to jump anything.

Can i use this to connect to an installed noco gbc007 for use as as a trickle charge on my harley davidson touring?

ok, Im not sure what you are asking. I googled gbc007 and that is a ring terminal harness for a noco charger, . This adapter connects to the noco charger but allows connection to standard SAE type harnesses such as you find on Battery Tender Jr and others.
So if you have a gbc harness on your Harley then want a non NOCO charger you need the NOCO GC009 but if you already have the gbc007 on the Harley and you have a NOCO charger then this wont help

Is the positive on this device the female with the fuse on the side? Is there an affordable generic one available?

I believe the positive (+ polarity) is the female (covered) side that has the power going through the blade fuse.
The SAE is a generic connector, however, the NOCO is a proprietary connector from NO.CO and as such is an adapter to connect NOCO product to a generic SAE connector. This is a reasonably priced adapter for use with the NOCO product line and very simple to use
