Does not work
I ordered one of these cables to hook up one of my monitors and it did not work. No big deal, I figured that I would just get another one and return the first one. The replacement one did not work either. The cable going from my monitor to the adaptor works just fine when I plug it into my work computer or phone and both display ports on my PC will work on my other monitor so it is definitely the adapter. Hoping I can either find a different adapter to get this to work or the seller can send me a few to try and I send back what doesn't work. Would not recommend.

USB-C Display (male) to DisplayPort Source (female): Did not work
I bought this adapter as I have a display with USB-C DP input, and I wanted to use this on a device with displayport output. I confirmed that the USB-C input works with the same device and other devices. I also checked to see if the cable does work in the reverse direction, with USB-C DP Output to DP input. I had previously confirmed that the monitors DP input worked, and that the computer's USB-C DP output worked. Neither combination worked! The cable isn't just bidirectional, it's not even unidirectional! I'm wondering if it needs a really specific configuration to work, but it did not work with mine. Bought through prime at least, so it's an easy return. Gave an extra star for cable build quality.

Good for reaching 120 hz.
Had a laptop with thunderbolt (MacBook air) I wanted to connect to monitor with display port and reach 120 refresh rate. Solid connection. Will monitor for how long the quality lasts. This solved the issue! Niche item, but it does work!

Works as intended
I saw a lot of reviews stating this item did not work. I would like to right that misconception. This device works great when connected to a USB port with DP alt mode. I can kinda understand the confusion around this product, but it seems to work great for me.

Not BiDirectional
Described as bidirectional but is not and an enclosure even says so. Device my work in one direction but I don't know.
