The Aveeno Calm and Restore gentle face wash has really helped to clear my 60+ year old sensitive skin of breakouts. It doesn't lather, isn't oily, but is a soft gel cream that soothes irritated skin. After washing my face I follow with the Calm/Restore serum and the moisturizer (which is fabulous). My skin looks clean, clear, smooth and hydrated. It feels comfortable and soft. Breakouts are kept at bay if used consistently. I hope Aveeno never discontinues this product!

Very calming and hydrating, doesn't irritate or inflame my super sensitive skin. Actually feels good on my face. With this product I don't need a toner. Pump works well and just use a small amount.

When Cetaphil, Cerave, and even the dermatologist prescribed face washes from the pharmacy weren’t helping and making my acne WORSE, I bought this! It’s so gentle on my skin doesn’t foam but gives a great lather it simply just cleans nothing extra and I LOVE IT! My skin has cleared up so much since just using this and a moisturizer. It’s very affordable only $10 however I use about 4 pumps of this stuff each day (2 morning, 2 night) so the face wash runs out very quickly. (P.S: Good for melanated skin!)

Aveeno is my favorite brand since i trend to have dry skin and like products with oatmeal. I should say that one time this made my face burn for a little bit when it didn't before, it was from the same bottle used on different days, so I don't think it was from the product itself. I don't know why it happened but it hasn't happened since. It doesn't really have a scent and I like the texture and how easy it is to wash off. Also, the packaging is a plus. I like transparent bottles for aesthetic reasons as well as being able to tell when to refill.

So. I've been using this product for a bit now. I was having skin barrier problems pretty bad especially after the fall/winter. Super damaged, red, itchy, acne, some dryness and all. I was a mess and super depressed over how me and my skin were looking. I was using a foam facewash since my skin is normally very oil but also very sensitive to many products. I can't use most skincare products because of this. Never had issues with products I normally used for years till I figured out months later it was my skin barrier. Switching to a gel facewash was the best decision I've made and im going to keep on doing it. My skin has started to clear up, its more hydrated looking and not as oily throughout the day too. I also have rosacea and has helped my redness and bit of itchiness I sometimes get as well. I have super sensitive skin as well and had no bad reaction towards this product. I really never thought of using a gel face wash since I thought it would make my skin oilier, but it actually did the opposite at least for me. For me it took around a week for my skin to start looking 10x better and I was super surprised since very soon my BF is coming down to visit for the week. I will definitely keep on using this facewash well after my skin barrier is healed. It also works very well for the body and makes my skin super soft and hydrated!! Things I also did + Tips that are helping me heal my skin barrier: I'm also using the First Aid Beauty Hydrating dewy gel cream as well that has Hyaluronic Acid and Ceramides which also helps on healing a damaged skin barrier. I just putting on damp clean skin after im done washing my face. Hyaluronic Acid works best applied to wet clean skin. Also make sure to wash your face with luke warm water and not hot along with being very gentle so no hard water from the shower if your sensitive like me with your skin type. Make sure to keep skincare simple as well to if you're healing your skin barrier only a gentle facewash and moisturizer with ceramides + if you can HA in it as well. Foam face washes don't work well healing the skin barrier since they just dry out the skin and take away all the natural oils your skin needs to heal. I did also for one night did slugging to lock in the moisture on my face using 100% pure petroleum jelly. Its were you wash your face, apply moisturizer then after a bit applying a thin layer of Vaseline to the face to lock in the moisturizer so that your skin starts healing. (I only did this for one night then washed it off the next day. It helped me a lot but its defiantly not for everyone so take caution and do research before trying it on your skin) Note: Make sure to always patch test a product. Not everything is made for everyone's skin mattering on your skin type.

Good, gentle cleaning and mild scent. But not effective for my skin. No lather. So I am moving on

This product is probably best for extremely sensitive skin. It does not foam, does not lather. Goes on like a lotion. It Will Not take off makeup. Strictly for face cleaning only. Is not drying.

Good gentle cleanser for the mornings or no makeup days. Great for sensitive skin

Excelente para pieles delicadas, es un gel espeso no reseca para nada la piel , limpia bien el rostro , no es un limpiador súper profundo , si tienes maquillaje tienes que retirar antes pero excelente, yo lo uso como segundo paso en doble limpieza y me encanta , deja la piel hidratada

I look forward to washing my face with this cleanser daily. It feels really good to massage it all over my face. It is for light basic cleansing and it won’t remove stubborn makeup. I double cleanse with this to remove sunscreen and grime at end of the day. It doesn’t sting or burn. Very very nice product. My skin does feel calm after washing with it. I love that it is fragrance free and mild smelling.
