Crochet Hook Set

All my life, the only crochet hooks I've ever known of, are the aluminum crochet hooks by Boye or Susan Bates. Crocheting became kind of a drag because of finger cramps and that hard bump or calus you can get on your finger joint from the hook constantly rubbing or sitting on that same boney area. Or the hooks get this weird, kinda less smooth feeling from using them so much. I heard a woman on YouTube talking about using these hooks and how wonderful they were, at first I just took it with a grain of salt because I figured, a crochet hook is a crochet hook. No big deal. But I got to the point where I really hated these aluminum hooks, so one day, I ordered a single hook. I was like, "boy, these are kind of expensive to pay for one hook"... But if its good, then it's worth it. I bought two individual hooks.... OMG... These things are smooth like butter cutting through your yarn! They totally live up to the hype. Smooth, silky feeling, easy on the fingers. Some people in the beginning, who are used to either aluminum or another type of hook with a longer handle might feel weird using these because the handle isn't quite as long. I have big hands and long fingers and even though they're smaller, they work very well with my hands. I actually enjoy and look forward to crocheting now because I have these really nice hooks to use. Yes they are pricey, I'm not really surprised because they are japanese hooks And I would expect that because they put out very nice quality crafting supplies. It took me about a month or so, but I saved enough money and I bought the horn tire set and i'm so happy that I did! Now , having said that , one thing you need to know about this set is there is one hook missing , and that is the 9.00mm hook. I don't know why but for some reason it does not include that hook period thankfully for me, It was one of the crochet hooks that I had bought to try, so I already had it. So I didn't really miss it. If you crochet a lot, I would encourage you to buy this set because it is totally a 100% worth it! You will not regret it, it's money well spent and a great investment in your finger health!

These hooks are awesome. I love them. I use them almost exclusively alongside my Clover Amour hooks. These are a little more narrow at the tip than the clovers, but totally sturdy. I think the red hooks are even better than the other tulips because they’re just a hair grippier and I like the texture against most yarns, but they crochet like butter and don’t snag or split yarn. The carrying case is perfect size to roll up and store neatly in a drawer or throw the whole thing in your purse to crochet on the go. However, it’s also cute and unobtrusive enough to leave out and not look like an eyesore, but rather decor. This set does not include embroidery scissors. It doesn’t say it does, I am just dumb and assumed it did. There is a little tag clipped on the end of a stitch marker saying hey, attach your scissors here, but they do not provide scissors so don’t waste your time looking for them. That’s on me, however, since I didn’t read the listing properly. I got this set over the pink ones because I own a lone red tulip etimo already, and I liked how compact the carrying case is. I think the size is a big selling point, and I like that it has smaller hooks. They do sell larger hooks separately, I have a 6mm one that fits fine in this carrying case as well.

I love these but honestly the Clover Amour set is just as good and much cheaper! Plus you get more hooks in the Amour set. I had to order the missing sizes in the Etimo hooks to have a full set and they were expensive!! There is absolutely no real difference! A girl has to have what a girl wants! lol

Absolutely love my Tulip hooks and Etimo Red is no exception. A note about what's included in the case: scissors are not included. The little tag attached to the hook roughly translates to "Please use the scissors you have." The tag is to indicate what the hook is for. (Incidentally, the hook is also a handy removable stitch marker in case you need an extra!) Two tapestry needles ARE included - they are in a paper packet tucked behind the "storage box" holding the majority of the hooks. Keep an eye out for them as they're easy to miss. Of everything in the set - case, two tapestry/yarn needles, 8 hooks from sizes 1.80mm to 5.0mm, and a ruler - the only item that's just "meh" is the ruler. I much prefer my gauge rulers from Clover or CocoKnits, but we're not purchasing this set for the ruler. The hooks themselves are stunning in person, comfortable to hold with the standard Tulip ergonomic handle (comparable to Clover, less bulky than Susan Bates IMO), and glides through a variety of yarn textures and weights. I use a knife hold and find all of my Tulip grip handles to be comfortable. Highly recommended.

I LOVE these crochet hooks! They are so comfortable in my hand and alleviate a lot of the stress and tension my hand usually feels when I crochet. The metal part of the hook is so smooth, I’m crocheting faster than ever too! I love the little case and all of the notions it comes with as well. Although spendy, I 110% believe these are worth the cost. As someone who’s been crocheting on and off for the last 20+ years, my only regret is not getting these sooner. The relief on my hand, as well as the increased speed these hooks allow definitely has me excited to crochet even more now!

Incroyablement bien ces crochets. Cresrs auu premier abord, leur efficacité les rend vite un très bel investissement. Les points ne s’accrochent plus et l’ouvrage avance rapidement.

Best hooks but wish it came with a pair of scissors and a wide range of hooks.

La qualità degli uncinetti non si discute ma se avessi saputo che avrei dovuto pagare quasi 23 euro tra oneri doganali e diritti postali avrei sicuramente acquistato questo prodotto altrove. Viene spedito dagli Stati Uniti.

Beautiful set, has everything that I need. Also love the pouch it comes in - the color story is on point and the product is high quality.

My favorite set! My favorite color! I love the hooks especially when crocheting using dark colored even light colored yarns. I would use it for a lifetime!
