12 x 12 x 0.04 Inch Acrylic See-Through Mirror, 30% Transparent

I used this with a laser cutter to make some perforated plastic lenses for a Halloween mask. It cut incredibly cleanly, and the plastic protective coating on both sides prevented any scratches or marring during the process. Even without the perforations, the plastic is transparent enough to see through. The only downside is that I ordered a sheet that was a little too thin and therefore it's easy to break if flexed, but that is buyer error and not the fault of the manufacturer. Can't beat the price for the quality of the material. Just remember to remove the film on each side after cutting.

I got this for a personal project that required mirrors, in particular a mirror I could see through, and it works REALLY well for that purpose. The only issue is that the very slim thickness (0.04 inches) makes it pretty fragile. Other than that, very nice, useful, and pretty easy to trim to size! And MUCH lighter than a glass mirror!

The sheet feels well made. I took the time to apply masking tape on both sides of the sheet over the cut lines before Scoring the cut. However, I was unable to prevent a crack from propagating towards the center of the usable area of my smart mirror. As a result my first encounter with this product promptly went into the trash. Second, the sheet has to be cut 1 mm less than the inner dimensions of the mounting area. If not, the sheet will distort and the reflected images will look like those in an amusement park. Therefore make sure that your seating area has enough lip to accommodate a smaller dimensions of the sheet. OK, which side is which? The manufacturer has a label on the sheet with a bar-code on it. There is clear enough information on how to identify the sides of the mirror. I like this item and ordered another one. Maybe I must use a Jigsaw this time? I wish it was a bit more inexpensive.

This product is great and worked very well for an infinity mirror that I was building. My only issue is that I bought a frame that this 12x12 mirror should have fit in but this was just a little larger and I had to trim it down to get it to fit. In the process of trimming it down, I made a gash on it which is visible now but that was my fault for using a blade to try to trim it down more. I wish this would have been exactly 12x12 then I would have given this 5 stars.

This is a clear acrylic sheet with a silver coating. The side with the coating scratches by breathing on it. Apply a paper towel, scratch. Apply any reasonable soft surface, reuined. And once this side is scratched, your done. Game over. Once you've scratched it, you've removed some of the silver coating. There's no buffing that will save you. In fact, if you apply any solution to try to remove it, you'll further remove the coating until you're left with nothing but a plain, clear sheet. Heck, apply a drop of water and the coating comes right off. Buyer beware. Was not worth half what I paid.

Installed this on the exterior of my glass shower door as it is opposite of my vanity mirror. I needed a rear view of my hair! Lol. It’s great because it serves that purpose while I can still see out of the shower from inside. First shipment arrived damaged, but Madison replaced it ASAP with an upgraded scratch resistant piece. Great customer service. I mounted it with little squares of double stick tape. So far, so good! It’s not a perfect reflection from far away, but good enough for my purposes close up. We will see how difficult it is to keep clean, following the directions....

I got this for an experment... It surves the purpose.

If you're buying anything larger than like 12x12 you're gonna want to buy the .12" thick version to avoid warping in the reflection. You should also do yourself a favor and get the scratch resistant stuff. It's expensive but it's worth the quality in the end. I've had a number of problems with these products, which is unfortunate, but this seller's customer service is bar none. If you have any issues, I suggest you email the manufacturer instead of going through Amazon. He's a really nice guy who is more than willing to work with you.

I purchased the 1mm thick acrylic sheet for a magic mirror project and I was very disappointed. No matter what you do, the mirror is distorted at all angles. Perfect circus mirror. I ended up buying a sheet of glass and applied two-way mirror film which is perfect and loads cheaper than the acrylic sheet. I am not sure if the thicker 3mm sheet would be better but the 1mm sheet is not recommended.

Did not read the title and description that well, so I was surprised by the thinness

Used this material to create lenses for a mask I 3d printed. It is exactly as advertised and I have no complaints. Material can be scored with a sharp x-acto blade, moved over an edge of a table, and pressed down upon in order to cut it into smaller sizes - note that like any acrylic, you must apply even pressure and make sure your score mark is deep enough. If used in the application of a mask/lenses, assuming the interior of the mask is as dark as possible, the transparency is comparable to wearing sunglasses. The opposite side is a perfectly mirrored surface. Did not have any damage for defects when I received it.
