I bought one of these a little while back to hang in kitchen for peace of mind, like an idiot I left something flammable on top of the cooker and turned the wrong knob on, causing a not insubstantial fire. Grabbed the blanket and pulled the tabs down and it came out and unfolded itself in a trice, ready for use and prevented a more serious fire. It put the fire out straight away and kept the smoke enclosed so there wasn't too much smoke damage. Of course you can only use it once so I bought a replacement straight away as now would not be without. Very good quality item, easy to use and does the job. I was very grateful to have it on hand and would recommend.

I purchased this for my Kitchen, with the intention of never having to use it. "Better to have one, than look for one", if needed!A nice size and very easy to use, should you be in the unfortunate position of a pan fire.Well priced and well recommended.

Thankfully haven’t had to use it yet, but it looks well made. We keep it under the sink and due to the size, it sits nicely to one side, out of the way, but in easy reach.

Received product, glad to see it kite marked. Good to have in a kitchen, fingers crossed, it will never have to be used. Will watch a u tube video how to use fire blanket correctly, as one of the comments below mentioned a fire, in kitchen, fire blanket, used but it caught fire, stated her boyfriend panicked understandably and maybe didn’t use the blanket the correct way. Decided on this item, instead as some all in one or kitchen fire extinguishers which I was looking at, had a low pressure gauge, which seems to be a common problem among fire extinguishers listed online . To get back to the item, every kitchen should have one of these kite marked fire blankets

Perhaps fortunately, this product has never been used, but it appears it would in fact sufficiently smother a fire should the need arise.

Having had 2 hob fires in the kitchen which scared the hell out of me I decided to buy 3 of these (2 for the house, 1 for the car). They are big enough to cover me which is important if your going through fire, in a car or need for emergency. Always be prepared....you never know.
