Perfect
I've purchased seven of these over the last few years and they continue to work well. I made my own sand auger poles for our lake's sand bar they hold the boats well. You'll need to use more than one pole based on the wind.

They work fine for intended purpose
They are light and sturdy, they will not rust. They easily screw down as deep as needed to provide a good hold. My DIY sand bar anchors hold the boat securely, easy to use, easy to store. Not terribly expensive. Nice tight fit in PVC pipe, I secured with nut and bolt. Way cheaper way to go than some of the expensive anchors that are sold.

Great product
The product looks and seems to be well molded. It is nice to see a product that has the flash from being molded removed from it before sending to customer. Not sure if it's made in the USA or just a company owned by USA owners, but if it's made in China the company must have control over the quality control as it looks better than most stuff made in China. I installed it in a piece of 1-1/2" PVC to use as an anchor for our beach umbrella. The anchor fit the pvc pipe well and it screwed into the sand well and took all the torque I needed to put on it to screw it deep into the sand.

Perfect for Home made shallow water anchors
These work great with 1 1/2" PVC pipe to make a shallow water anchor. The plastic tip keeps it from scratching up your boat, but they are strong enough to penetrate the sand or gravel at the sand bar. We bought a 10' piece of PVC, cut it in half, and used the two augers to make 2 anchors. These did not come with any hardware, so We bought screws, washers nuts etc. and drilled holes in the PVC so we could attach the auger to the PVC. The top of the auger leaves a little space so the water can flush out of the pipe after use, this is good to have. We got another length of smaller PVC to use as a handle. Works great.

Saved $$$ vs boat store.
Have a couple of these now. Made โTโ handles out of standard pvc pipe. Use them as anchors on the sandbars where traditional anchors just pull through the sand. Eye bolts at the top of the T allows for place to attach ropes and hang out speaker box. Much easier to use and with one at each end of the boat she never moves and we can relax and enjoy more. Couple this with expandable ropes and the wake of other boats or waves no longer threaten your or the boats around you.
