This was actually very good
The play pieces are quite small and light-weight and so care is required but they are big enough for comfortable playing. The ability to 'swap sides' when playing against the computer is a helpful feature, this accompanied by the The Usborne Chess Book Activity Book, was a good package for my Granddaughter as she is quite content to teach herself when I'm not around.

Ideal for single player
It took me a few days to master use but persevering with instructions won out. I now play regularly. Pieces are light so get knocked over but if careful it’s fine and board tells you where they should be. It’s not that easy to beat but I’m not a great player and managing at easier levels.

Absolute rubbish
Feels cheap and easily breakable. One set of crappy plastic trays that hold the chess pieces under the board wouldn't even open. Of I could give 0 stars i would.

Not what they used to be
Having previously purchased a Lexibook chess board we expected high quality that lasts. This one is of inferior quality and disappointingly does not have the same sound effect features as before. Does the job but not as good as before.

NOT AS ENJOYABLE AS I EXPECTED
I had been accustomed to playing chess at home on a traditional board, but as I now live alone that is no longer an option. Having tried this electronic game I prefer playing chess on my laptop using Chess King software. This just my personal preference as I get more enjoyment from the Chess King game. For the price the Lexibook CG1335 is good value when you consider that premium electronic chess devices cost four or five times more.

Jeux très intéressant et ludique pour les débutants et les intermédiaires, je ne peux pas parler pour les experts car je n'en suis pas un aux échecs, je laisse les autres répondre sur ce point pour les gens plus performant que moi. Facile à mettre en place et les notices sont en français sur le site pour ceux que ça intéresse. En vous souhaitant de belles parties et de grands moments d'échec
