I want to insulate split AC external copper pipe, what thickness and width is best suited to wrap around the thin pipe?

You get black foam tubes that can be used to pass the pipes through. If pipes already installed, you camn slit the foam pipe and wrap around the copper and keep in place with strong adhesive tape.

It has started to come off. What kind of glue do I need to stick it back?

Well, it's kind of strange because its adhesive is so strong that even if you intentionally trying to peel it off, it won't come off that easily. Always make sure to clean the surface before apply any adhesive product. You may use fevicol or glue whatever available.

Could it work in high temperature???

It Works Under Normal Temperature. For High Temperature go for 'EPDM' tape.
