LCD Control Automatic Pond Fish Feeder, Capacity 5.5L，DC 12V

bought the Hygger LCD Control Automatic Pond Fish Feeder for my koi pond, and it’s been a game-changer! The 5.5L capacity easily holds enough food to last through vacations or busy weeks without worry. I love that it's easy to setup program—up to 6 feedings a day, each with 9 different quantity settings. The digital display makes it simple to monitor and adjust. Plus, the transparent container lets me quickly see when it's time for a refill. It’s durable, quiet, and has worked flawlessly rain or shine. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to keep their fish fed and healthy on a daily basis or while away ! It works well !

Only used it for about 4 days, working good and the mechanism mostly seems robust. There are two small tabs that hold the display that are not robust. One broke when putting the assembly on the table. Maybe it was damaged in shipping? Going to use a screw to replace the tab. Those tabs need to be a lot more robust The programming is odd, needing to push 3 separate buttons to change a setting. All to avoid having up/down buttons. It works, but it takes 3x longer to make changes. Such a nice simple product made way more complicated than needed.

Assembly is very easy and operation is easy to program. I didn't think the two different feeders would be necessary, but I use two of them for two different ponds and the different feeders made it easier to program more precisely the amount of food I wanted to feed. Quality appears to be very good. If you disassemble when not needed, make sure you unscrew the correct connectors. There are several connectors which are not meant to be unscrewed even though it is easy to unscrew them by hand. Reservoir holds plenty of food and the lid is nice and secure. Racoons tried to remove the lid and they could not.

My feeder's power cord got chewed up and caused the power to die and go out. I was able to fix this by splicing the power cord, sealing it back up, and I'm back into business. Pros: I loved the flexibility on the scheduling and how you could program the feeding amounts, quantity sizing, and several more options. It was also not too bad from a pricing perspective. I love the battery backup, it seems to keep things charged up for a good couple of days. I've had it all variosions of weather, rain, humidity, snow, freezing arctic blasts, hot summers, and everything in between. Weather has not impacted the feeder or food. The food stays dry, no moisture issues! Nevertheless, it's an awesome feeder.

This is a very good product but could be improved with a few minor changes. First, the build quality is quite good; strong plastic, substantial base, and strong aluminum tubes. The assembly is fairly straightforward but the instructions are weak. For example, it shows using screws to assemble but doesn't indicate the correct screws to use. I attached the base using 2.25" Tapcon concrete screws for a really strong installation. The most important improvements would be a better user interface to the controller. The directions are, once again, poor. Since the controller is easily removed, it would be a great upgrade to offer a Bluetooth or wifi controller with more intuitive controls. One final thing, the power adapter is not suitable for outdoor use and is too big to be used with standard cord weather protectors. It should use a USB connection so it can be changed out as the weakest component. I had to use a IP55 weatherproof box to house the power adapter connection to a long extension cord. Its probably the best in its price range; but needs improvements.

It did not work more than a month. I reported the issue and was asked to send a video to be able to qualify for warranty. It;s been a while I send them video and since than no response. Product is bad and service sucks.

I purchased this product as a better way to feed the cats when I left for a couple of days. There are also 4 raccoons that come and usually make a mess of everything! This feeder really withstands all 4 raccoons at one time! They are unable to get to the feed which really helps the pocket book! I added a 1-1/4 inch galvanized floor flange with a 1-1/4 inch x 6 inch and 1-1/4 x4 inch galvanized pipe separated by a 1-1/4 inch galvanized coupling for extra stability. The pipe is a 3 inch drain pipe cut to the needed length with a 45 degree elbow that fits over the spout. The food bowl portion is the bottom portion of the Vitalife Large 10 lb gravity pet feeder from Walmart. The drain and bowl is held in place by bungee straps. There is an extra zip tie holding the bowl to the wood brace. It’s been a great project to work on and it has turned out great! Thanks Hygger for the great product!!
