FROGG TOGGS Women's Classic All-Purpose Waterproof Breathable Rain Suit

These are light weight, comfortable and will keep you dry. My wife likes them because she can layer clothing underneath for warmth. They run true to size so if you plan on layering keep that in mind.

I recently attended the 75th Anniversary Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and purchased this rain suit for riding on a motorcycle. We were unsure what the weather was going to be like and were told that it can change in literally no time, so rain gear was a definite necessity. I am 5'9", 160 lbs and I purchased a large. The pants fit in my hips snugly, but not tight (I have big hips), and they were long enough to accommodate my super long legs. The top was a little big (even though I have a rather large chest and broad shoulders), but I had every intention of being able to wear multiple layers underneath it if necessary. I was able to wear normal clothing (jeans/t-thirt) with a hoodie and my leather jacket underneath. It is also light, so it didn't add any unnecessary bulkiness or drag. I probably looked a bit silly wearing it, but it was worth it. The big thing though: Does it keep you dry? Yes! Everyone else in the group purchased cheaper gear or used ponchos, etc. and I managed to be completely dry where others' rain gear leaked or did not keep the rain off. I cannot attest to the "ankles/shoes getting wet" aspect because I had on heavy duty leather boots, but I was not wet anywhere, nor were my clothes. Water didn't soak into the gear so it didn't get heavy. The best was that because nothing got wet I wasn't faced with the cold that goes along with it, I was actually too warm. We rode through heavy rain, light rain, mist, hail and generally wet conditions (water coming up from the road, off of vehicles) and these were an absolute godsend! Perfect for riding your motorcycle and camping (fricken awesome when you have to set your camp up in the rain) and I'm very pleased with my purchase.

If you understand what you are getting with this rain suit, I believe you will be pleased. This is a very well priced set, but it does have limitations! Think about what you want this for before you make your decision and choose accordingly and I don't think you will be disappointed :) I chose this set because I needed a lightweight rain suit for farm work in the pouring rain. I have a heavy, rubberized jacket and pants I've used prior to this purchase and, while it does keep me dry, it's so heavy that it makes chores way more difficult. Plus, the heavier material doesn't breathe like the Frogg Toggs so you end up sweating which is horrible! Here are the Pros and Cons about the Frogg Toggs (in my humble opinion) Pros: VERY affordable! Sizing is pretty accurate - I'm 5'2, 150 lbs and large busted with a tummy and the Large fits great with plenty of room, good sleeve length and about 4 extra inches in the pant length (I rolled them up) The large gives me enough room to wear sweats underneath with still enough room to move around Sturdy Zipper - Easy on and off and the "handle" is large enough to easily grab with gloves on Wide opening at the bottom of the pants - Easily handles muck boots and there is a velcro closure so you can tighten the bottom Seams - Well stitched and strong Fabric - While it may seem this "paper like" fabric would be flimsy, it is actually quite strong and the best thing is it breaths while still keeping out the rain! It is initially a bit stiff but after you wear these for a while, they soften up Cons: The fabric is rather noisy! I would not recommend these if you want to use these for anything stealthy like hunting or attempting to sneak up on a Sasquatch! It does get better with use.. Hood - I really wish they had added a bit more fabric on this hood - especially near the bottom of the hood where it shields your face on the sides. Also, if you wear a baseball cap, the hood is just a bit on the small side to be able to reach to the brim of your hat so you may find you are often tugging on the hood to pull it forward. Might not be an issue if you have a tiny, tick head but my head size is average and I found this a wee bit annoying :( POCKETS! I know...I know...this is not an expensive set but...really? How much could it really cost them to add pockets - at least to the jacket? Maybe they have a good reason why they don't like the light weight fabric may not hold up or they are trying to keep the price of the set down but really...I would pay an extra $10 for this set if they added pockets!!! It's just really annoying to have to either pull the jacket up to get to the pockets in your sweatshirt underneath or unzip the jacket to get to the pockets. Seems like a no brainer to add them but, again, the price reflects what you are getting I guess Overall, I really like this set and I'm glad I got it! For what i use it for, it's great. I don't know how well this fabric would hold up for heavy use like brush clearing, but for keeping you dry for light to moderate chores, backpacking, camping or walking, this is wonderful! Went on a long motorcycle ride ordered this it started to rain so I get it out went to put on and the pants had a big cut across the legs. What a waist of money. The Quality sucks.

I am 5’3 and 130lbs- the medium one fits well in length with space inside to wear over fluffy fleece pants/sweater. Haven’t worn it in rain yet but seems like it’ll hold up (if the reviews are accurate). The fabric is like a papery material much like the material they use for waterproof shoe covers but a slightly thicker. Weird as it may seem, it is soft and flexible, is able to handle a zipper and drawstring. I wouldn’t do any heavy activity like carpentry or repetitive movement as I’m not confident that it wouldn’t tear under stress. I’m keeping it since it was such a great price and will be great to use when I have to walk my dog or go outside to clear my drains in the rain.

This rain suit was a success, excluding the hood design flaw. I hiked 6 waterfalls in the Oregon rain in about 3-4 hours. I thought the paperlike fabric would not hold up and I was completely wrong. My clothing under the suit was completely dry (except for the very edge of my wrists) from rain and perspiration. My sister got the traditional plasticity rain suit and although it protected her from rain, it proved to be a sauna and she sweat in it. Frogs Togg's paperless fabric proved to be waterproof AND breathable. I would have rated this excellent/5 stars except for the design flaw of the hood. As others have said it is very small. Sure it covers your head, but there is NO over hang to protect your face. The rain will fall directly on your face and the water from the hood will dump right onto your face as well. I tucked the hood into the jacket and did not use the zipper neck pocket for it. This allowed me a high collar to keep any rain off my neck and I STRONGLY encourage you to purchase a rain hat with a brim. A baseball cap under the hood will NOT protect the sides of your face because the hood has absolutely NO over hang. I would have paid up to $10 more for a bigger hood and hope Frogg Toggs considers modifying the design, since this is a commonly reported design flaw. I'm 5'1" /109lbs. I bought a small and it was loose enough dor me to wear a jacket underneath and the velcro ankle closure made it suitable to adjust for the extra length due to my short height.

This suit is exactly what it says it is. I agree with what others have said - it kind of looks and feels like paper but I wear this over my motorcycle gear and I stay dry and warmer than I would have been without it. I think I went with medium to make sure my gear would fit inside of it, and it fits pretty comically - I feel like the Michelin man at 5’5, ~155lbs, pink and black ballooning around me 😹 I’d buy this again! UPDATE: I kept these in my saddlebags and the pants blew away 🙈. I bought a second pair (told you I’d buy them again!). With the second pair of pants, they melted against my motorcycle engine. Granted, I now have a 107 Low Rider, but I still use them, even with a melted section at my knees. They are excellent windbreakers and keep me much warmer than my heated gear alone in the winter. Cheaper than Harley gear and still pretty effective!

I am in the midst of a motorcycle trip and ran into a downpour going to the mountains today. I put on my Frogg Toggs and boy was I glad I had them on! I was dying to try it out to see how wind proof and rain proof it was. Well, I got my wish today. It was pouring and I'm happy to say it passed the test and what a great investment! The only con was the elastic cuffs were wet inside and I had on my expensive Harley Davidson leather jacket underneath but it was dry as a bone! The pants held up pretty well too but again the bottom cuff soaked the cuff of my pants underneath. The pants do come with a Velcro to wrap around your ankle but maybe my pants underneath were sticking out but everywhere else stayed dry! So I'm happy with that! The label states it's made out of polypropylene and the best way to describe the material, which was strange to me at first, is made out of those reusable woven like material you find in grocery bags you use, instead of using plastic bags. It's a little stiff but it sure holds up to wind and rain. I just bought a Frogg Toggs men's version for my husband. Hopefully it'll be the same stuff as mine cause he was jealous of mine! The jacket has zipper and snaps which goes up to your neck, along with a hood that rolls into the collar. I have not used my hood yet cause I had on my helmet already. It also has drawstrings on the sides to cinch up and keep out moisture or wind. I also use it to pack up after rolling it up and then stretching the elastic around it to keep it bundled, it does a nice job! The pants have a drawstring that stretches or tightens comfortably. They are very easy to put on. I purchased the ladies large which gave me plenty of room for clothing underneath. I'm typically a medium in clothing and 5'4. So far, so good on this product! I will follow up with a review of the men's version when we get them.

True to size. Waterproof. Super lightweight. Kept me dry on a motorcycle ride through hours of rain. Fabric seems like it is cheap and won’t keep you dry but let me tell you looks can be deceiving! This product works! Don’t buy it for style, buy it for functionality. May want to go up a size if wanting to layer; I ordered my usual size (medium) and was able to wear over jeans and a jean jacket - a bit snug when layering but still able to zip up.

Very, very thin material but it worked great in the rain. Very easy to pack in your knapsack, I walk to work and it's excellent for quick protection from the rain, both heavy and light showers. If you want a heavy wearing suit, I would not recommend this one.
