I honestly don't know. It was a birthday gift for my grand daughters birthday.

How do you attach chimes to pot

The charms are attached with fishing line, a clear plastic string. You go through the holes on the pot and the wind chimes to attach.

Will the finished product uphold in the weather?

Only, if you get a spray on clear top coat. Otherwise the inexpensive paint provide would wear off. Also, fishing line will work better that the twine provided with kit.
