Easily installed. Blocks all light. Very affordable.
I have a half-round window that is 60 inches wide by 30 inches high. I bought two rolls of Velimax static cling black film. I was able to apply the first piece and trim it easily with a utility blade. The second roll was lined up with first and the edge was precise. The surface is tactile like a truck bed liner except it is very thin pliable. Now I have an excellent black-out window that can be easily pulled off if I want more light. The low price made me suspicious but the product is clearly high quality.

Worked Great!
I bought this to to black out the windows on my 4Runner camping conversion. I wanted to have total sun blocking capability. I was going to have a professional install complete blackout color tint. However, the price they quoted me was out of this world, so I thought I would give it a try. I only had a chance to get one window done. But, it turned out great. I just read the included instructions and watched a few Youtube videos and it was no problem to install. Now I get complete privacy and sun protection, keeping my 4Runner much cooler. From the outside, the color is just a solid black. It is very nice looking but not distracting. Once I get all the back windows done, I will update my review with more photos.

FOUND SOLUTION! for cars, autos, vans, campers black out for mobile office etc
UPDATE : So static clang is never going to be good enough for these applications but it helps. It certainly helps to align. It certainly helps to install. It's just that they won't stay in place! So there's a very very simple solution and I mean that literally! Just take a little sugar water honey diluted in water or molasses of any kind. Also diluted in water by about half or more and you can either spray the window using a sprayer or you can apply it with a brush just in areas where it's actually peeling! This works because it's naturally super sticky as you know from handling these jars for years- and it's also easy to remove with just plain water or a wet towel when the time comes. So if you've got a peeling corner just dab it on. You can use a paper towel, dab it on it or dab it on the back of the shade. So other than being a little too narrow and a little too overpriced for The wider roll, this is actually pretty good stuff for direct application to the inside of Windows in cars, Vans, and any other kind of camper! About. The only other thing I can say is that it needs to be longer and I think I did get shorted four feet by the time I got to the end of the roll. You may want to start by The roll before you start cutting ! I may have to return this even though it's cut into little pieces. It was I believe 4 ft short and I don't think it's going to last the month. As far as reusability goes for the purpose indicated. I'm going to give it another shot here. I'll try spraying the inside of the Windows in question with some soapy water to add some stick and if that does the trick then I'll be happy.

works perfect
This is completely room darkening, blackout. The backing is a little difficult to get off, but I found if you use an exacto knife and hold it almost parallel with the back side of the static cling and just poke it through the backing and make a little slit towards the outside of the corner you can easily get ahold of the backing to peel it away. I used scissors to cut the static cling just about 1/2 inch more than I needed on both top and side. Then use a spray bottle with water and a few drops of liquid soap (mixed up well) to really wet the window surface and the back of the static cling. Put it in place and you can slide it around a little bit to get it in the exact position you need then use a squeegee (or credit card) to squeeze out the extra water and get a good seal to the window. Lastly I used an exacto knife and a ruler to trim the edges and get a perfect with a nice straight line. Easy to install, works perfect and looks beautiful! The outside (or side you would be seeing on the inside of your house) is a matte finish black with almost a slight sand paper type feel to it. The side you would be seeing from outside your house is a shiny black appearance and if you don't spend enough time with the squeegee to get all the water and air pushed out then you would see water/air bubbles from this side as well.

Good product, but requires patience to install correctly
I bought this Velimax static cling window film looking for privacy and light control, and it fulfills those functions very well. The material is of good quality, completely blocks out light, and offers complete privacy. ✅ What I liked: • Complete light blockage: Perfect for rooms where total darkness is needed. • Absolute privacy: No one can see through the window. • No adhesive: Leaves no residue and is easily removed. ❌ What could be improved: • Complicated installation: It's not as easy to apply as it seems. It requires patience and precision to avoid bubbles and ensure a good adhesion. • Perfectly clean surface: Any dust particles affect adhesion. I would recommend this product to those who need privacy and darkness, but I suggest taking the time to install it properly for best results.

highly recommended !!
Amazing product, very easy to install, and it’s completely opaque. I brought this film for my bathroom door. The final effect is even better than I expected. One side is smooth and reflective, the other side has a beautiful frosted pattern. Here are some suggestions for install that I want to share. 1.The only issue with it is that the transparent backing is a little difficult to peel off. So after contacting the seller, i got a very effective way to solve it. Just place two pieces of scotch tape on each side of the film near the corner, then pull them away from each other to separate film and the backing. I also add a picture for it. 2.Since I don’t want to trim the edge, i just cut the film into the exact size of the glass. It works great, I did measure the size many times and cut the film very carefully through. You can measure out an inch more than needed if you can’t make sure to cut well. Then trim the excess with a sharp utility knife and a ruler. Draw a straight line at the backing will be helpful to cut. 3.Spraying enough soapy water will make it easier to re-position the window film and to get rid of air bubbles. The air bubbles needed to be completely removed, you can use a squeegee or a credit card to help. Overall, it took about half an hour to finish. Great product, great customer service, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who need the blackout version.

Okay, instructions were vague and back film hard to remove.
Pros: does it’s job! It also has this grid on the back of the film which does help a lot with cutting! Nice and thick material. Cons: 1. the backing of the static film was very difficult to peel, despite trying their suggestion of using two types scotch tape to help 2. I would not recommend the instructions saying to leave 1/2” and use a knife to cut off the excess film, I tried that and it was difficult and impossible to cut nicely and have a clean edge that completely covered the window. 3. Instructions said to use soapy water and a lot of it, wasn’t clear on ratio for soap to water. I went with some soap with very little additive and also used distilled water. I felt like it was a bit excessive. When I was using a card to smooth out the pieces soapy water would drip out from the edge… so beware this may happen, so it forced me to do the top panels first because I didn’t want the soapy water to drip down. Overall: good for its price and does its job, but could be more detailed in the instructions! And if there was an easier way to remove the backing it would be great (tried the scotch tape method but it didn’t work.
