Honestly, quick and easy as they make it seem. I rekeyed 4 door (3 deadbolts and 4 handle locks) all within about 5-10 minutes *if that. Initially wanted to use this rekeying kit because my front door key stopped working reliably but I definitely think it was smart considering I am in a new build and a lot of contractors had access to my keys before purchasing my house

My spare key outside went missing so I ordered this kit and the next day re-keyed the locks myself. This kit is amazing. It is stress free. Very easy instructions. I followed the instructions with one of the silver keys, checked the other 3 silver keys to make sure they worked in all the re-keyed locks and gave them to other family members. I saved the gold keys and the re-key tool for future use, if needed. Easy as pie. Problem solved.

perfect for changing my Kwikset smart lock; this is a dream for renters, you may rotate the keys each time people moves out, by keeping the old ones, and replacing with new ones. Beware of the smart key insert tool; it is not easy to use while key is in place. The original one is just a piece of thin metal. the new one has plastic enclosure which can interfere with the process. I had to rekey again because it cause my new key to not fully been inserted and botched the job. Luckily there is a video that tells you how to undo the process.

All of our rental properties have Kwikset locks, and changing the locks out with each change of tenancy has never been easier. The instructions are easy to follow. Getting two bonus keys keyed differently comes in surprisingly handy. It goes without saying, but being able to change locks out so quickly and easily improves security of our properties. The provided keys always function smooth as butter. If you have a need to change your locks on any kind of regular basis, you need to buy Kwikset and make sure you get the models compatible with re-keying. You'll get a flimsy little tool when you buy a new doorknob set, but having this tool in a sturdy red holder makes it much less likely to get lost.

Kwikset's smart key system is so easy to use. I was quickly able to switch all my compatible locks to use the same key. You get a tool with a lock or knob you buy that is smart key compatible, but this standalone version of the tool is bigger and easier to keep track of
