Awful tasting
My son brought me a Niederegger Marzipan cake covered with chocolate from Germany along with other Marzipan goodies when he came home from the military. They all were delicious. This item was awful. The chocolate was waxy and hard. The Marzipan was hard an unable to cut it with a knife. The price for the size was ridiculous. The description of the item was false. Very disappointed.

PERFECT.
NOT too sweet - NOT too bitter ...... A [mandatory] Special Treat - no matter what the mood ..... maybe add a few pieces of fresh fruit [kiwi, mango, papaya, pineapple ... even fresh guava .... something exotic - to contrast the subtle flavor of the marzipan]. Petite espresso on the side ....

It's good! But keep one thing in mind...
This marzipan torte was delicious, but keep one thing in mind. It's not very sweet. It's still sweet, but not as sweet as the marzipans I've had in the UK and U.S. I think I like it this way. Too much sugar is no good for one's health, and I find it much more balanced.

I had bought this thinking it was a cake with a marzipan layer & covered in chocolate-this is just marzipan covered with chocolate.

Die wohl kleinste Torte der Welt , wenn man die Version zu 9.99 Euro nimmt. Im Grunde wirklich nur ein großes Stück Marzipan mit Schokolade ummantelt. Das Marzipan ist natürlich in der bekannt guten Qualität und mit dem ebenfalls bekannt guten Geschmack

Well this did not last long at all! A lovely large petit Four cake easily portioned out for 8 people. It was used with a good champagne at the beginning of the day and tasted divine:). Finished the evening with coffee + liquors. I see it is unavailable for now but will order again Niederegger when you can supply. There is a fruited version but the plain one is best accompanying the champagne as a fast tonic for virus aftermath. Not sure if I should recommend this in case there are none left to order.....
