Although compatible and functional, these do not fully engage the base flat surface of these 2 radios. This reduces protection of exposure to elements and possibly, do not provide protection for signal injection. Female versions for Baeofeng, great. Price..hey great price. Quality..seem pretty good. Signal quality? I have no hands on info but recieve seems fine. If only the threaded connector was a little deeper ..perfect.

These were just as described. I've got better antennas but none quite so small. Don't expect a ton of gain. They do work well to reach the local repeaters and the DMR hotspot. The size makes my yaesu fit in my pocket with no problems.

Antenna works well, signal seems fine, it's springy and feels pretty durable, not bad overall. Only problem is that the threads don't quite go deep enough to fit on the connector of the UV-5G I ordered it for. It's a common issue and easily fixed with a cheap rubber washer/grommet, but it would have been nice if one was included.

built 2 hotspots but the antennas that came with the HAT were not very good. The center pins would get pushed in when screwed into the HAT making for iffy connections. Bought these as replacements and they work like a charm. Have not tried them on an HT only a Hotspot.

Terrible, just horrible. I own other stubby dual band antenna (Tengko) and it works well but is stiff, so I thought I'd give these flexible ones a shot but man, are they garbage. SWR is completely unusable on ANY portion of EITHER BAND these are advertised as working on. In fact, the ONLY usable frequency, according to SWR sweeps on the NanoVNA, is around 340mhz.... So, unusable. I decided to open one up and lo and behold, it's just a coil of wire connected to the center conductor of an SMA connector. That's it. No capacitors, resitors, or other tuning methods. The strange thing is that an antenna like this SHOULD work if it's a 1/4 wavelength long, but these just dont work. Reception is meh at best, and I didn't even DARE trying to transmit with SWR readings between 19.9:1 and INFINITY. I tested 4 antennas in all, and every single one of them is the same. So, don't waste your time or money on these unless you wanna be sorely disappointed.

Tested this with MURS and GMRS. Completely usable on MURS. Unfortunately 0 reception on GMRS (even from a mobile). It will transmit on GMRS decently but completely no reception. My half watt midlands can receive from the mobile. And their antenna is smaller. Amazed in how well it worked on MURS even compared to larger antenna. Gap between every radio I have. Unfortunate. However for the price a bag of $3 washers fix the issue. Just wish it were great on GMRS as well.

Just picked up a pair of these antennae to use on an HT I purchased (since I always get a better antenna for every HT I've owned). Put one of these onto the HT (a Yaesu Vertex VX-150 VHF HT), and, granted, it didn't quite sit flush on the SMA connector (maybe a 1/4 inch gap), but it was still firmly attached. I programmed in a few local (to me) repeaters, and took that HT with me one morning on my newspaper distribution route. Got to a fairly good spot on US95 headed south, and gave the High Camp repeater near Grangeville, ID (146.68), a kerchunk. Signal back wasn't quite full quieting...there was some considerable noise in the signal (and keep in mind, I was driving), but I was able to reach that repeater with relative ease. I was about 50+ miles from that machine. Flipped over to the Moscow Mountain, ID, machine (146.82), and heard the IDer a little clearer that I did High Camp's IDer. Distance...about 75 miles. Flipped to the Orofino, ID, repeater (145.49). About a 35 mile hop, and about the same noise floor as High Camp. Of course, I ID'ed myself on each machine I was able to reach (but no one wanted to chat...then again, I was on the road at about 4:00am). Repeated (no pun intended) the same test a few days later with the OEM antenna attached. Could barely break the squelch on those three machines, and those I did, the signal was so noisy, I could hardly hear the IDers. Swapped antennae...whaddya know? I could talk on the machines again. Those of you reporting "garbage" or "crap", I'm sorry you got a bad batch. Everyone's a critic, and everyone has varying states of success regarding these antennae. As for me...I've had good antennae, and I've had bad. This antenna rates "good" for me.

Ordered a couple these for my Yaesu VX-3 and FT5D. They work great. Don't expect these to match a 1/4 wave or better antenna, but for a rubber duck, I got good results on 2-meters and 440. I also tested it on my MURS radio, works great on that as well.
