Wear rubber gloves or they may not work.
I have cats. I was overrun this year by field mice. They are very cunning at what they do and they are also viscous in nature. Different traps would work for maybe one rounds. I think I figured out one major reason. They have an unbelievable sense of smell. If they smell a mouse cadaver or a human they will avoid the traps. They seem to really like this bait and for a while stopped working. In my research I realized the importance of wearing rubber gloves when you handle the packs - presumably to avoid getting human scent on them. They are non-toxic so I cannot see any other reason. Anyway since I started wearing rubber gloves they are working well for what mice I have left.

Doesn't work- mice didn't eat this at all
I purchased these and put several down, the mice have not touched it so it's useless. I used steel wool to plug the areas they come in but injured my back and will eventually cover the holes with metal and molding to see if that helps... we did have the outside areas covered by someone but I have to check that again and have someone else come back. Ever since we had the siding redone the situation got worse. So my advice is if you have asbestos tile leave it alone, siding just creates holes all over your house. I was also stung by a wasp while sleeping, and had them twice in my bedroom due to holes left by the people who did the siding. This product is a waste of time and money. I won't use the wafarin ones as cats can die from that and I can't use traps. What a mess. I still have clean up to do but can't due to my back. I don't want my cats getting them and eating them because they can get re-exposed to different strains of t gondii and one tragically passed away from toxoplasmosis. I would like a refund but I think it is too late. I will try calling. I have to wonder how there are so many good reviews here. I know there are still mice in the garage and studio because I found one that had drowned in a basin of water I had forgotten to put away which was horrific and that was several weeks after I put these down. In addition none of them have been eaten and when my cats escape to the garage one goes immediately to one area where they would wait for the mice- once when he was out there I heard him knock over something so he was chasing one but didn't catch it. I'm going to set up some cameras to see if I can see them at all. Hopefully covering the holes with metal panels and molding and sealing up the outside will eventually work.

The mice like them
Mice ate them but now we have another batch. I'll keep using and maybe they will finally be gone.

Not impressed
I really wanted this to work as stated. Placed packets in strategic places where there was rodent traffic. When I checked back several days later not one was touched. Then I tried a second approach. I cut rodent sized holes in plastic containers, opened the bait, added chicken feed and seeds. It worked as something ate it. This worked a few times placing container in various places. I’m still seeing evidence of rodents after three weeks.

Fantastic, toss in corners anywhere theres mice.
Great for the corners of patios. Toss them and the Mice rip the package open- making it super obvious that they came and ate some. I haven’t had any issues with mice on my patio in weeks- finally. The apt complex I live in was trying to deal with the mouse problem but they kept coming up onto my porch because I have plants. A mouse ruined s beautiful pothos I had been growing for months and I finally had it. Mice murder- while keeping my cat safe (she loves to sneak out onto the patio). I was terrified to put “real” rat bait out because it 100% can kill your pets (like tomcat) this one actually kills the mice and wont hurt your dogs or cats. love it

This works
We have cats so it was important to find a product that would get rid of mice but wasn't harmful to animals or birds. This product has eliminated our mice problem. We like it so much that we subscribed to delivery every 3 months to avoid a recurrence of a mouse invasion.

Didn’t work for us
I was noticing holes in the snacks inside our snack drawer . I said we for sure have a mouse and with a special needs child and dog I wanted to try this before calling the exterminator. I was careful to not get my scent on the packet , the mouse did eat from it and I replaced it every week. It was taking awhile , but i figured its contained to the drawer, maybe with time he just needs to eat more of it . After waiting 3 weeks , him getting into the dog food, eating my avocados on the counter , scaring me to death one morning scurrying along the floor, we ended up having the exterminator close up all the holes in my kitchen. So after my long story - they didn’t work (also the mouse was not big at all )
