This tracker is far superior to a traditional smartwatch. I’ve only been using it for two days, and it has performed flawlessly. One feature I especially appreciate is that it automatically enters sleep mode when not in use, which helps conserve battery life. Had I known about this device months ago, I would have purchased it much sooner. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient tracker.

Having just started a daily walking routine I wanted to keep track of my steps, both to monitor my progress and for "bragging rights" :-). As a graphic designer I was sitting on my butt all day in front of my computer and didn't get up except to use the restroom... not a good thing. So I have made it a point to get up every 90 minutes or so and walk around our building for 5 to 7 minutes at a time. At the beginning I was using my iPhone 5s built-in Health app, and while it didn't do a terrible job counting my steps, I suspected it wasn't as accurate as I'd like. Sure enough, when I carefully counted a thousand steps as I walked, the iPhone would regularly under count by 10 to 15%. I looked a pedometers on Amazon, and selected this unit based on it's excellent reviews and price. It arrived on time and as described. I had no issues with setting it up at all, you just have to read the instructions to understand what sequence of information you'll need to input. It came with a carrying clip, lanyard, instruction pamphlet and a small screwdriver for replacement of the already installed battery. I don't want to have it hanging around my neck on a lanyard, so I clip it around a belt loop and it stays there (flopping around a bit) securely without issues all day. I did try clipping it to the inside of my pants leg pocket, but it came loose and fell of a couple of times, so I'd be concerned about losing it somewhere if I wasn't paying attention. The belt loop clip work great for me. I've now been using the unit for just over a month on a daily basis. To make a fair comparison to the iPhone I did several tests where I would precisely count out a given number of steps (typically 500 to 2,000) and check the results. This unit is very consistent in it's count, and typically counts 1 percent over actual count (10 steps over for every 1000 walked) which is VERY accurate. During these measured walks the iPhone was in my pants pocket on the same side as the belt loop as the pedometer, and again the phone (inconsistently) undercounted my steps between 10 to 15 percent. Bottom line, an excellent and accurate pedometer at a great price. Would highly recommend this product. I got this pedometer for my grandma for Christmas, after she was interested in my Fitbit. I knew she needed something that didn't require a computer, and was easy to read. I chose this pedometer for its simplicity and large display size, as well as the price. If she tried it for a while and didn't like it, it would not be too much money down the drain. I set it up right after she opened it. It was quick, 5-10 minutes, and relatively easy. I tested it out a little by walking around the house and comparing my counted steps to the pedometer, first with the pedometer on my belt, and then with it around my neck. The recorded steps matched the counted steps. The only issue we ran into was that, while the step numbers are large, other important labels are not. There is a line of words at the top that indicate what value is being displayed (steps, calories, miles, etc), and the letters on that are very small. The big MODE button to the right of that screen is the one that toggles these features. At some point she accidentally pressed the mode button and switched the value being displayed. She needed to get a magnifying glass to see what she had switched it to, and to get it back to steps. I know the small letter size would not be a problem for many people, but this particular pedometer seems to be specifically targeted to older users, with its simplicity and large display. It would be nice if that part of the display was also large, or if the letters showed up big across the screen for a second when toggling (like how the fitbit will display the steps sign before showing you the step count). Another solution could be to add a lock option, so that the buttons could not be pressed by accident. Overall, she seems really happy with it, and has adapted to the tricks with the buttons and displays.

This works well but watch the settings. The recommended inputs are wrong. I recommend you map out a half mile route and then set it to hit that distance. It took me about 5 laps to dial it in. There is no lap setting, so that sucks. You can clear your daily progress but can't go back to it, so, if you walk twice a day you can't track then as unique activities.

I tried two of these units. The first one was not able to detect walking steps no matter what I did that would be typical of normal use. If I shook the unit up and down, it would start to count, so then I would walk and it would count the steps. When I stopped, it stopped too, and no amount of walking would get it to start up again without shaking it up and down by hand. That was not good enough for my purposes because I need it to detect walking without having to get it to start up manually. I know it takes 10 steps to get it to start showing the count, but I could step 50 steps and it still did not start up. I tried stepping harder and that did not seem to work either, but then again I can't go around two stepping like an elephant just to get my steps to be counted anyway. Comparing it with an even cheaper unit, the cheaper unit actually worked better except the display on that one was all messed up so it could not always be read properly. It did count the steps as expected though, but I don't think that one is being sold anymore. I talked to customer service and they said you have to do this and you have to do that, but that's not what should be required, and what they told me did not work either (ha ha). What is missing on all of these step counters is a sensitivity adjustment, or a better sensor with adjustment also. If you want it highly sensitive or barely sensitive, you should be able to set the level. Some people walk lighter than other people so this would help get it right for everybody. They include a lot of settings on this unit, but none of them do anything without being able to reliably count the steps, so they are all completely worthless. It MUST be able to count the steps reliably; that's the key point. If it does it will work very well, if it doesn't it won't do anything right. The second unit did the same thing, so I sent that one back too, and moved to another manufacturers step counter. It's a shame too because the unit case seems to be made very well. It's sturdy.

I’ve been using this pedometer for about a week. The setup was relatively simple and the instruction manual clear. I was looking for a pedometer that didn’t require connecting to either my phone or laptop and this one provides quite a bit of information. On the first day I started the return process because I kept hitting the buttons and resetting the device. After flipping it over in the clip so the buttons were on the bottom helped with that, so I gave it another try. The clip is not very strong and the pedometer kept falling off and it dug into my skin when worn on my exercise tights. The screws to remove the back or change the battery are very tiny. But it seems to be accurate and does what it’s supposed to do. My previous pedometer was an old Omron that was perfect for my use, but the battery cover fell off after several years. The clip was strong and a lanyard with a clip was included, so I could attach it to my shoe. The best thing about that pedometer was that it had a cover, so no problem accidentally hitting buttons. I’ve spent a lot of time looking for a similar replacement with good reviews but without success. I’m keeping this one because the pros outweigh the cons, the price was acceptable, and I’ve found a fix for the whole clip thing that I hope works out. I have a small magnetic buddy pouch that clips at the waist of my pants and doesn’t irritate my skin, and I’m putting the pedometer inside. We’ll see how it goes…

Received this last week and have been carrying it in my pockets ever since. It is much more accurate than the step counter app I had on my phone. I bought the hot pink so that if I put it down I can find it easily. Set up was a little complicated, but between the on line directions and the instruction book, very doable. It goes to sleep if I am inactive, thus saving battery usage. The screen is very easy to read. My main interest is in the step count and mileage. The pedometer is small enough to ride fairly comfortably inside my jeans pocket and large enough to not lose. The clip feels secure, although I don't use it much. I have not tried the lanyard. The two very minor gripes I have - The clock in the pedometer shows hours, minutes, and seconds. I don't need the seconds and find it annoying. My old phone app had the option of looking at the week, showing each day's steps, side by side. I found this handy, and miss it. If this pedometer has this option, I have not yet found it. Overall, I am very pleased with this little gizmo. That the manufacturer offers an 18 month warranty and easy ways to contact them is a decided bonus.

Love this pedometer. Been wearing it everyday. I sit at a desk for work. And It's really keeping me motivated to get up and keep moving through out the day.

I got sick of mucking around with fitbits and stuff that needed to sync with an app etc - this is back to basics and works great. I've been using it every day for months and have had no problems. Motivates me to get my steps in. Seems to be pretty accurate. I turned the unit around in the clip housing opposite to how it arrived, because I kept bumping the Mode button whenever I tried to squeeze the clip open. But if you just take it out and turn it around, the problem is solved.

I had a simpler pedometer and this is a great step up (no pun intended). I like that it saves prior days data and that it resets at midnight ready for the next day. I put it in my pocket to protect it from the elements and the dust when I am working in my woodworking workshop. Mapped out a route with my vehicle to set a distance and then adjusted my step size to get it very close. Very happy with the purchase.
