Chair glides that fit into standard office chair bases are difficult to find. I have a theory why - most people want wheels on their desk chair and chairs that don’t have wheels are generally those that take a glide that either screws in, tacks in, glues on or slips over the tip of the chair leg. If you have a desk chair with wheels it’s not common to take the wheels off and replace them with stationary glides that fit into the snap-in holes. I’m not saying there’s not a need, only that it is not a general commodity. I checked the two major home improvement stores, the big super discount store and other places and no luck. And there were very few options at Amazon, unfortunately for some reason most of them added substantial height to the chair. I wasn’t actually replacing the wheels on a desk chair, but similar - I have a barrel chair that is often used as a more decorative alternative to desk chairs. I moved it to the corner of my room where I could sit down for a few minutes to talk on the phone or text someone or maybe read the mail. That chair had super fast wheels on it, just a breath would send it scooting across the floor. That was okay at my desk but not if I want to sit still in one place. I was looking for something that was smooth enough to be able to move the chair for mopping the floor but would stay put when I sat in it. These and one other brand were all I could find and these were almost half the price of the others. WHAT I LIKE These actually look better than in their photo which makes them look dull. They are actually a nice bright chrome and they look very attractive. They are about as short as it would be possible to make, which is absolutely perfect for the height of my chair. They are well made and each of the five snapped into the chair base with a nice click. Don’t stress about the material that is used for the glide, whether is is plastic or nylon or rubber - it doesn’t exactly fit into the category of any of them. That’s not important, what is important is that the material is very strong and wobble-free and it is just slick enough to slide the chair when no one is in it. When I sit in the chair it stays firmly in place without sliding around. Exactly what I was looking for. YES OR NO The bottom line is this is a simple product that works exactly as expected which makes it practically perfect for my needs and at about ten bucks there is no need to be shopping around for anything else. I like them.

I love my chair and desk. But when my desk arrived I noticed it wouldn’t fit under my desk and after a few seconds of panicking figured I could actually remove the wheels and these bell gliders couldn’t be more perfect. I have also tried the smaller ones which are also perfect but these fit better definitely easy enough to slip but not slippery. Doesn’t damage the floor. They are heavy and sturdy enough; don’t feel or look cheap. Match Eames chairs and dupes perfectly.

The ball bearings on my office chair wheels were constantly falling out and I was afraid my pets would accidentally eat them. I was about to get rid of the chair entirely until I stumbled upon these. They were easy to put in place and have good grips on the bottom. It is a little bit difficult to drag the chair around if I need to reposition it, but that's better than it sliding too easily on my hardwood floors.

They seem sturdy and look good. Easy to install. Blue protective film was hard to remove tho. Also the bottom is not as slip-resistant as I would hope on hardwood but it'll do.

I got them to lower the height of my office chair. They worked well for that - it reduced the height by about 1.5". They are a good size and have a nice shiny silver finish. I decided that I wanted to keep the wheels after all, but these glides are good quality.

Kept moving my chair into non-optimally-ergonomic positions, and almost squashing my cat's tail. This makes that not happen. Easy to install assuming you can get the old chair wheels out.

My chair moved to easily on the floor protector, fell off it a few times as it went flying from under me. Put these on in place of the casters and no more issues. It still slides when I want it too. And it made my office chair 100x more sturdy and safe. Great purchase.

Anti slip..like it shouldnt slide about. It does Plastic on the bottom (i think maybe even teflon), these things slide like crazy. If there was rubber under there they would be no slip. These are simply non rolling sliders. Deceptive.

Put on an office chair to replace roller casters on hardwood floor. Super easy swap out. Fit as advertised. Nylon pad at the bottom allows the chair to be moved easily if needed.

We have small dogs who love to hang around my wife when she is working at her home office desk. We got a cool office chair but the casters are too dangerous when having the small dogs sneak up on us. Their feet will be crushed instantly if my wife moves back from her desk without checking where the small pups are and she does this frequently. So we replaced the casters with these legs. They work great. The chair is easily moved when you are not sitting in it, but stationary when you are in it. SAFE for small pets. Only negative is that they have a little less height than the average caster and you notice it but will get use to it.

I just received these. They are very low profile, if that it what you are looking for. I used them in place of the wheels that came with the office chair (Autonomous Ergo 2). Fit perfectly. Robust, so far. Good buy. Recommend using felt pads under these to make them glide better on hardwood
