Excellent Earplugs
These are the only type of earplugs that provide both strong noise protection and comfort for me. I like the way they mold to the shape of my ear and are sticky enough to be reused up to about ten times per pair. I understand that they may not work for everyone, but they are certainly worth a try.

Great product, really works.
Mack's are the best, and I have tried many as I am sound sensitive. I cannot sleep without earplugs and these do the best job for me. No foam buds to mess with (that do not work). I've given them to friends too as they did not like what they were using but like these. They do not go IN yours ears, but over the ear opening. They are moldable to your ear. Can't be without them.

Totally Comfortable
I needed earplugs for extended use in a moderate noise environment, but foam hurts after several hours, and even "music" earplugs get annoying. These earplugs sit in the outside bowl of your ear, and don't go in, and man are they comfortable. It helps if they are body temperature, and then you apply gentle pressure for several seconds until it molds to your ear shape. Sometimes it takes a couple pushes in different areas to get it to mold right. But once it's molded, it stays that way. I had them on for 10+ hours one day, and at the end there was no pain at all. When used correctly, they cut out a surprising amount of noise - I didn't realize there were rated for 22 dB NRR.

These are the most effective earplugs I've found
These are great. I don't really care for the foam type ear plugs. If I'm using them for sleep. foam ear plugs take a minute or so to fully expand. During that time, you get to hear a symphony of loud, annoying noises, which is not exactly what I want when trying to fall asleep. Then, about half the time, foam ear plugs dislodge quickly and require re-positioning. If that doesn't occur, they very likely work their way loose during the night so that they are not fully in place in the morning. On the other hand, these plugs are like someone hit mute on the universe. You need to carefully read the instructions on use, and cover the ear canal, as opposed to inserting into the canal, but they quickly attenuate sound very effectively, and they stay put. Be advised, you may sleep through alarms, phones, riots, gunshots, sonic booms, etc. For travel, they are great. Just get good at lip-reading the flight attendant. You can't hear squat with them in place, and people really can't see that you have them in unless they look from your side. You can re-use them several times as well. Good product.

snug fit, effective
ya neighbor in the apartment above has a squeaky bed and a 45-minute parade in her room every morning so these kind of are required to exist, good job mack! also I have sensitive ears and can't bear concerts or places like the dance floor at a wedding without them so if I'm going to an event with loud music - these are coming with no doubt. they're literally saving one of my five senses in those cases. I don't know how people use those dumb foam ones, like, what? Just make sure to follow the instructions

Great earplug for sleeping
I have been using these for 10+ years to sleep since I traveled for work. They are soft, comfortable, and just quiet enough to block out unwanted noise. I can still hear my alarm go off if its set. I use them on airplanes also. One pair lasts me at least a month, which is good because the price has gone up quite a bit.

Good earplugs for people not generally comfortable with "standard" foam earplugs.
I really can't stand earplugs, but these ones work without bothering me much. They block out more noise than the rating would indicate. These are rated at 22db reduction, but they block more sound than my wife's earplugs, which are Hearos foam ones rated at 32db. Maybe it's an individual thing. My ear canal seems weird and I have a hard time getting a full seal on the Hearos. Since these are basically molded silicone putty, you can just press them up against the ear and squish it around for full coverage and get a good seal. They're so effective that I nearly slept through my alarm once, which was turned all the way up and within two or three feet of my head. Minus one star because they're still basically disposable, and they tend to collect lint from your pillow over time. Not much to be done for that, but it's a slight drawback.

My favorite earplugs
Macks really are pillow soft silicone earplugs. I have tried other brands when I couldn't get Macks and the silicone is hard and difficult to mold to your ear. Macks are easily pliable to mold to your ear and stay soft which makes it easier to sleep on either side. They also don't go in as deep as the foam earplugs that can go in too deep and hurt your ears. Macks are the best earplugs I have ever used and I won't use anything else from now on.

Very good & no sore ears.
Top tips: Divide each wax ball into two smaller wax balls, one for each ear. Each morning, wash both wax balls in soapy water each morning so they continue to stick to your ears - this way each pair will last several days to a week, and each box will last ~2 months. While these wax plugs don't block as much noise as foam plus, they still block a lot, and crucially they don't irritate your ears so you can use them long term. And because they don't block ALL noise, you don't become totally dependent upon absolute silence in order to sleep.
