Excellent
The poles are good quality feel robust. I think they will last a long time. I use these rather than a walking stick. They allow me to stand up straight and not lean over as in using stick. So keep my back straighter. I can also walk faster which helps with my overall fitness. As an older user, I would say give them a try. They are fully adjustable and the hand straps make them very secure. I don't feel as if I would trip up or fall. Safety in walking with these is good. I saw my orthopaedic consultant and mentioned that I was using the poles to help with my spine and knee problems, he said that they we a really good idea and a number of his patients had benefitted from the use of poles. (No particular make of course) From my perspective I can walk further and faster and breath easier, which surely must be of health benefit. I am no expert! I would say to anyone with similar health issues to give them a try. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Great walking/hiking poles
Just arrived and practiced around the house to get used to them. Easy to assemble and the graduation marks on the shafts make sure you get the right height for you. The handles are comfortable to hold and the wrist straps can be adjusted to suit. I’m waiting for a hip replacement and these poles will help me to walk upright and give me support, they are sturdy. Comes with a storage bag and supplied with different ends for muddy conditions and snow. Really pleased with them, I feel sure they will help and enable me to get out and walk with more confidence, plus much more ‘fashionable’ than the usual walking sticks!

Tighten the screws
I took my new poles to Switzerland. It took a couple of tries to make sure the screws were tight enough to prevent the poles from slipping down. Comfortable cork handles and good wrist bands. All in all I am happy with my poles and the cost is good. I would have liked them to be more compact.

Strong, well made, easily adjustable.
I bought these as I was having real trouble with my balance and walking was difficult, after a serious illness. I was fairly stable on smooth ground but had no confidence on rough ground. These poles have given me back my confidence and made walking anywhere easy again. They are very well made and easily support my body weight in a lean test. ( I am not light ). They are easily adjusted and fold down small and light enough to carry with ease. I have just spent a week in Wales and happily walked, beaches loose stone ragged rock, mud and slippery wooded slopes. I have nothing but praise, and gratitude for these poles. I highly recommended them

Sturdy and easy to use
Sturdy and easy to use. Perfect for pretending you don't need a walking stick and indeed, better than a walking stick because you don't have all your weight on one stick or on one wrist. They've helped me strengthen my legs following an illness and I have high hopes of walking properly again without them one day.

I'm very happy
These trail buddy walking poles are excellent, the photo's don't do these poles justice as they truly look and feel high quality. They are very simple to customize to your own walking posture or you can set them to the length via the sizing chart which is enclosed. You receive all the accessories you need with these sticks for any walk you have planned. These poles are light weight and easily collapsible (shorten) to put in your back back until they are needed. The price of these were perfect with a high price feel and quality finish to them. I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend this product and seller.

Great well made poles.
My first poles so nothing to compare them to. I decided to start at the lower end of the price range to see if I would like using walking poles. I took them straight out on a holiday in the lakes using them on boggy ground, on rocky ascents and descents including some scree. Had no issues at all. I adjusted the knurled nuts on the locking mechanisms a bit at a time until I got a firm clamp. I didn't have to readjust at all on two 5 hour mountain walks. No slippage at all. I only used the mud baskets and left them on where I shouldn't, on rocks and scree but they survived with no damage so seem very strong. In general I found poles really useful when crossing wide streams to aid with balance on stepping stones as well as on descents to help with large steps down. Even just using them for walking seems to help avoid back ache so overall extremely impressed.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING BUT BAD FOR SENSITIVE HANDS
These trekking poles are amazing quality, they saved me slipping a few times on the mountain today and also took a bit of strain off my girlfriends arthritic knees. BUT… I absolutely loved the cork grip (I have really thick skin on my hands so not a issue) but my girlfriend (who has soft sensitive skin) found the cork grip abrasive which was causing sores on her hands. We are going to buy some new grip wrap to go around the cork grip for my girlfriend, she loved the trekking poles with gloves on which isn’t ideal for a warm day having to wear gloves. these are great, but if you have soft sensitive skin make sure you take gloves or grip tape for a emergency if the cork starts to aggravate your hands or just buy a trekking pole with rubber grips instead.
