Okin 2 button (up/down) DC Lift Chair or Power Recliner Hand Control

I started out with a switch that looked like the picture but wore it out after a few years. Then my provider replaced it with one of those horrible diaphragm switches that nearly ruined my control box!!! You will see those here on Amazon too - and they are to be avoided at all costs!! They will cause your relays to hammer constantly until the either burn up or lock you into position, and there you are TRAPPED! This new switch was actually a Lazyboy version - I guess they are made by several makes here. Now my chair has that smooth fluid motion it always used to with no hammering sounds from the control box. YOUR MY SAVIOR AMAZON!! Just clip the new one into the original lock plug and snap the lock and I cover it with electrician tape too - because I tend to grab the wrong wire sometimes and tug too hard and unplug it accidentally. Nothing like being trapped in your chair with it raised up and you can't reach the plug to re-insert it!!! No more worries like that for me!! This switch is GREAT! By the way I have a huge heavy duty chair with two lift motors and it works fine - it works so well it doesn't pop the frame anymore from the misalignment the older bad switch caused. I think this same end plug works for just about any motor and make of chair. I like the locking feature of the end plug, but I still rap it with tap none the less. This was an exact match on my Golden Technologies chair, even thought the switch was made for Lazyboy. My switch came in with two side by side round black buttons, instead of the staggered white buttons in the photo. It is still a good looking remote - no worries mate!

It goes without saying that this is obviously a cheap knock-off of the Okin part, so let me explain. Okay, I won't. It works. There's not much more to say. I prefer the OEM design but at seven times the price I passed on that. I don't know about longevity as I've only had it a few weeks. I'll try to remember to edit the review when it breaks. 02/11/2025 Well, it's been a tad over a year and this thing is still working great. If this will fit on your chair - buy it.

I bought this to replace the remote on a Pride Mobility Lift Chair, the cord got pinch, probably a broken wire in the cable. Switch tested good, no real fix for the coiled cable, so gave this a shot. Pride Mobility wanted $107.00 for theirs. Gave this on 4 stars, because the cord was a foot or so shorter, had to get a little creative, but worked great, 81 year old mother is thrilled with it though. Really not faulting the product, for the price, it's an awesome replacement, better quality than the origional, should last a long time. Shorter cord might be a blessing, little or no chance of it getting pinch again.

Was a fantastic venture to get another one of this item, hubby uses a lift chair, the one we bought last time was Sept of 2022, will the help of Amazon files, I was able to find the last order, and just click on ORDER AGAIN, was so surprised to get it so soon, delivered today, Sun, which I thought was unusual for the USPS, but so glad to get it so soon. He is very pleased, the other one, got to where the buttons would not work anymore......Thanks to the seller for such a quick turn around for us to get item so soon, a special THANK YOU.

Looks like a quality accessory, but does not work with La Z Boy lift chair. The plug fits, and even though the original controller is 8 pin, and this one is only 5, I was hoping it would operate the up-down function. It does not. But no complaints about the item itself, or the seller. Both get an A+!
