Can you use the two step protein treatment after a relaxer?

I am not a licensed professional; therefore, I am not qualified to give advice on your relaxed hair. In my opinion I would wait a week and one shampoo. I hope you have strong, healthy hair in 2014.

Can long hair safely be kept up in a clip while drying so product isn't dripping down my back? Or do I risk the whole clipped portion breaking off?

No it can NOT. Use a hairdressing cape and towel dry hair before hand so it doesn't drip down your back. separate your hair into quarters. Use a spray bottle and work it through with a combination before it gets sticky and dries. There's some great you tube videos for this product

Is there a difference in the protein treatment & the two minute reconstructor?

Yes! The two step is a stronger and more time consuming treatment. The two minute stays soft and is done in the shower. I find the two minute isn’t enough for my high porosity hair. Two step requires heat and to allow the protein to harden in your hair.

Do I have to use heat?

Yes. The heat is supposed to help the product penetrate hair. I use a regular dryer on medium/low settings so it doesn't blow the hair around too much.
