I used to rely on a cell phone to wake me up each morning for work. Only problem was, every one and awhile, like once every few months it would fail to go off, despite being on, the volume being up, and everything being set! So I finally had enough, and bought myself a real alarm clock. No regrets! This thing is small, easy to use, stylish, and very intuitive. I like the switch/level on the back, its super intuitive to shut the alarm off once you're awake and to turn it on again later. The screen does have readability issues in certain light conditions, but personally I haven't had a problem, considering I use this as an alarm, not a clock. Its super simple and does its job nicely, and reliably! One minor nitpick, the picture shows that the alarm bell icon is green, its not. In real life its the same white color as the other graphics on the screen.

My 30 year old clock stopped working. After much research I came up with this outstanding Braun travel clock. It is extremely well made. It is also quite functional. You can change only the time and the alarm time. So it is really easy to use. My old clock had day///month///year///temperature///alarm so it was time consuming to reset after the battery ran out. The Braun eliminates all of those feature which are available on your phone or your computer and not really necessary on a clock. So, I truly love this little clock.

We needed a dependable travel alarm clock as a backup to our cell phone alarm, this Braun Digital Alarm Clock is exactly what I was looking for. The huge bonus to this clock is the ease of use and very simple settings. Quality seems excellent and it’s very compact, the peace of mind that comes with a backup alarm when you absolutely can’t be late is invaluable.

The new digital version of the legendary Braun Travel clock leaves the nostalgic look of the past behind. The iconic alarm sounds remains. The display is easy to read. It illuminates at night by simply touching the clock. at the top. Unfortunately, the light is way to bright and there is no way to lower it. Further, touching the clock a second time to turn the light back off would have been a nice feature - would have been... Instead you need to wait till it switches off itself. It is nice that the alarm icon in the display (bell) indicates whether the alarm is set or not, and that you can set the alarm on a 24h time frame instead of 12hrs on the classic version (because this version "knows" the difference between am and pm, e.g., or 14h vs 2h). Overall still a reliable companion with room for improvement.

The design is timelessly simple. The functionality of the clock is also perfectly simple. Too many clocks have a constant light shining in your face and features that complicate the sleep process. Something that’s supposed to be simple. My other radio clock has a daylight savings feature as well as two alarms. Well, twice a year I still have to reset it and I would often have alarms going off that I inadvertently set. This clock doesn’t light up until you want it to. The button is also “capacitive” meaning there is no physical clicking sound in the middle of the night if you want to check the time. It doesn’t disturb your partner.

The alarm is well built however the visibility is extremely poor. I think the contrast in the photos is pretty deceptive - you have to strain in almost all cases to make out the time. At night you can’t see the time at all without tapping the top for the backlight. It’s completely black. Part of the function of the device (besides being an alarm) is being a clock and in that aspect I think it fails pretty badly. In most cases you can’t make out the time either without straining or having to tap for the backlight. I’ve provided a photo here in a fairly ‘normal’ circumstance - bedroom window open with a nightstand light on. And the time is barely visible. Visibility is best when the alarm is in direct sunlight or is reflecting against a light source but even in those cases it doesn’t have nearly the same contrast as in the marketed photos. Could not recommend this product.

Dead simple alarm clock. Touch sensitive snooze at the top. Backlight shuts off until you touch the snooze/light button. Super clear. Lightweight and very portable. Suggested for use as a backup to your phone or as a travel clock. Good stuff. Cons: not super loud, only one alarm.

This is an old school alarm clock and by that I mean you have to turn the alarm on and off every day. It is not nightlight style. You don't see it in the dark unless you have some kind of super hero vision OR you hit the sensor on top. It will not wake up the neighbors. It has a snooze button. It tells time. It wakes you at the time requested. And I Love it! Simple design, well made, uncomplicated.

Very easy setup. Fool proof. I like it.

Very nice alarm clock. Sleek design. We like how the display is non intrusive, if you simply brush the top of the clock it will then illuminate itself. Hopefully it will last as long as our previous Braun alarm clock. - For size comparison, with a 1990s Braun flip-cover.
