Lower back issues or restless legs perfect chair for you!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Hands down best ergonomic kneeling chair on the market. High quality materials and so comfortable. At first I had the regular varier kneeling chair but decided to upgrade to one with a back and armrest like this ThatSit version. It’s so confirm table for someone sitting 12+ hours working per day. High price tag but comes with 10 years limited warranty which gives piece of mind and it’s made by a high end Norwegian furniture company so fits the modern lifestyle. Size: I am 6ft4 and it fits me very nicely. Value for money: Long warranty Comfort: Quality materials comfy both in shorts and long pants Sturdiness: High quality craftsmanship Build quality: Easy to put together if you know how screws work Functionality: versatile with many seating positions

Comfortable but really hard to put together
This should’ve been easy to build, but it was extremely difficult. Pieces didn’t fit quite right. It was a real struggle. For this price point, it should go together much easier.

Don't waste your money here - IKEA "comfort plus" wannabe
If you are looking to waste $800 go ahead for this IKEA look alike thing. Impossible to put together by yourself, you need 2 people to do this. Some pieces are cheap plastic. And the sensation seating there is that the chair is going to break apart....and you too! I got the one with backrest cause I work long hours and I was hoping for the armrest to be such. They are not. They are just two small parts that don't allow for your arms to even get back there, nor support the back at all. Just a piece of something there in the back, blocking. Textile gets dirty easily (that kind of fabric that shows the dusk immediately) and it comes with a "tape $50 value!!" Oh lord! $50 tape??? Thank you but you can keep it. Horrible horrible horrible. Maybe in other parts of the world this is a success... I don't see how something like this can cost $800.- Returning today.

Help solve my chronic low back and hip pain
I purchased the Varier ThatSit after trying several other expensive "ergonomic" office chairs, none of which helped with my chronic low back and hip issues. The ThatSit has been a game-changer. After just a couple weeks, my chronic pain has significantly diminished. At first, I was afraid it might put too much pressure on my knees, but that is not the case. The cushions are firm yet comfortable, and the fabric is sturdy and easy to clean. I can work for much longer stretches of time now, and when I want to take a break from the kneeling posture, I just lean back a little into a comfortable seating position supported by the backrest. I also like that I can easily sit in the chair backwards with my arms resting on the wings of the backrest. Great product functionally and aesthetically.

Edit: upgraded to 4 stars - still over-priced... terrible instructions...
Edit: The below review is still accurate, however after using the chair more extensively I must say the design is fantastic. There are a few other chairs on the market - more expensive - with longer delivery wait times that are more adjustable/flexible - but that being said this chair allows for a much wider range of natural movement. It’s easy to shift positions and the chair itself is also light and quite easy to maneuver. Still very expensive and many will not take the risk - but if you are suffering - give it a try. I’ll add that weighing 190lbs at the time of writing - I feel as though I’m almost at the limit of what the chair will handle - doesn’t feel as though it’s about to collapse or anything - but it also doesn’t feel incredibly sturdy either. It’s not a chair you can lounge or relax in - IMO - don’t fall asleep in it LOL. The fabric covering on pads/seat also seems quite sturdy - but not exactly soft - so if you have delicate skin - you might need to wear long pants or cover with something softer etc. While there's no question this chair is far superior to the many $150-250 competing products on the market, it's absolutely NOT worth $800+ in my opinion. The instructions were a joke, screws and other parts were rolling around the box - torn bags gave me the impression this item was purchased/returned... Everything except one of the wooden dowels was there. Ultimately, the chair is functional and works as advertised. I will say, however, it's not quite as adjustable as I had hoped. By this I mean the ways in which the chair is adjustable do not actually provide the level of movement, or movement in the right direction to facilitate a more custom fit. As a reference I'm around 5'9" and swing between 185-195lbs. The seat padding is NOT sufficient in my opinion and here's one area where some of the lesser priced chairs, of which I have purchased several, actually win out. At the end of the day, I think this company, and so many others are to a degree exploiting our pain/desperation. I'm just not sure how this price tag is justified.

Well Worth the Purchase
This chair is rather incredible. Pricey indeed for those that are not aware of the endless benefits to sitting in the correct posture, however priceless for those who do understand. This chair appears to be designed to support the perfect posture both in and active and inactive position. I use the chair daily for about 9-10 hours and and I am able to sit comfortably in the perfect posture the entire time. The adjustability of the knee rest really change the game comparatively speaking to the variable balans which I also owned before this purchase. I find my self utilizing the various positions available in this chair without even thinking about it. At the end of the day I realize I feel great. I have no aches and pains and feel much more alert. The body is designed to allow the energy to flow without resistance and many of the ailments and illnesses that people have are deeply rooted in simply sitting in the incorrect posture. This puts pressure on nerves which cause pain. Pain causes stress which increases the cortisol levels in the body. When one gets in the habit of sitting in the wrong position they are also teaching the body the habit of producing the stress hormone. When this hormone is released it puts the body and mind in flight or fight which takes the energy away from the body and mind that it needs to not only focus and think clearly, but it also takes the energy that is required to generate more t-cells and embryonic cells. This means the body learns to redirect the energy it needs to develop, grow, and prosper to simply surviving. This like buying a care and never keeping up on the maintenance and eventually has quite a noticeable affect on the body. What affects the body also affects the mind and emotions. If the body is being affective negatively then so is the mental and emotional reality of the individual. Simply sitting in the correct posture there for can have profound benefits on the wellbeing of individuals, especially those of us who have developed that habit of sitting in the incorrect posture. I would not recommend worrying too much about the color and material that this chair is made from. I chose this color because it was half the price and many of the other options with different fabric. Although expensive than most, this chair is well worth the purchase and should be the standard that every furniture company works towards and upholds. This chair is well made, comfortable and stylish. I would recommend this chair over getting treatments for your back that are not fixing the problem at its source. This chair gets a 10 stars out of five for me and my friends would tell you I'm the most particular individual they know. I am not easily awe'd.

Terrible directions
I have put together lots of things including a elliptical machine which had 5 times as many parts as this. The directions were mainly pictures with hardly any written instructions. I found each part difficult to get together and when I was finished after 2 hours I had a remaining part that I had missed. I looked in the directions and saw it in one of the early steps shown in a photo. I had to take the whole thing apart. Then there were these little pointed things that went into holes that held the cylinders which were for screws. These little things kept falling out after the chair was partly together. I hammered them in and they still came out. Finally I put some wood glue in to hold them and got it to hold. Got the chair going now. Not sure if I will even be able to use it much after all that. I will give it my best shot for $900. I would recommend trying a cheaper one but I wanted the back rest and my back is killing me so did not want to waist time on a lesser chair. Back hurts worse after hours of putting this chair together.

Nightmare install!
Boy, I'm pretty handy with a wrench and stuff, but this was by far the worst assembly I've ever been thru! Every step was a MF, there's 100 little things they could do to make the consumer experience much much better. Cool chair and all, but honestly if you don't want to wrestle the chair for 2 hours then just pick something else.
