Does the oil smell the same as the balm?

I didnt notic any smell in the oil.. but it gives an easy comb when the beard's soften (especially arfter give your beard a good wash)

Does it dry out or leaves your beard oily for long time?

It depends on how full / big your beard is and how much beard oil you use. i use 6-8 drops from the pipette. This suits my beard. Use too much and you beard will be too oily; use too little and your beard will dry out. Experiment, see what suits you. If you overdo it, use a mansize tissue to wipe off the excess. i should point out that this is not my regular beard oil. I'm a big fan of Fine Fettle products, however the Gillette beard oil is good value for money. Hope this helps
