Elf on the Shelf Hide and Seek Board Game

It wasn't what I expected but that was my fault for not reading the description lol. I was expecting an elf on a shelf doll, and this is actually a hard "doll" that is actually a hide and seek game. It comes with a small blue piece that the elf attaches too, that plays music to give clues to the child looking for it, this is a great "elf on a shelf" for my 2 year old he loves it and plays with it all day and then loves looking for it half of the morning when he gets up :)

My girls 13 and 10 have such fun with this we brought it to Christmas Eve event and played it with really little kids each took turns being the hider and the seeker kept them entertained and busy for some time if you do the elf tradition in your house this is a fun companion game the kids love it

I am actually saving this game for next year as this is our first year with the elf on the shelf and my 5 1/2 year old is having so much fun with the original that I decided to keep this one stashed away until next year. It is cute, makes a nice sound and was well packaged.

This is a kids game from the elf on the shelf. There are several different ways to play it. My kids favorite was taking turns hiding it and finding it. It plays music and talks off and on the whole time while it's hiding so it's easy for younger kids to play. There are also cards that tell you whether to hide it high or low. There are a couple other games you can play too for a little bit older children. Overall, it's a cute little game to play around Christmas time and the kids enjoyed it. The price was a little high for what it does though.

Bought this for my grandchildren and they loved it. Lot's of fun. We made a fun night of it. We watched the movie and then presented each family their elves. We then played the game, which made for a fun night.

Cute. I just wish it wouldn't play immediately when you turn the device on. It makes it difficult to hide. I resorted to turning it on in front of my grandchildren (ages 2 & 3) and then busting my butt to hide it before it plays again - lol. I also wish you could control the volume. Overall, it kept the grandkids entertained. I was thinking you could use this in a Christmas musical chairs game as well.

I bought this to use with my visually impaired four year old whose preschool class was playing along with the antics of their elf and due to her vision issues, she couldn't understand what was going on. This version allowed her to feel the joy of "looking" for her elf at home as well as play with her 2 year old brother. We also have an autistic child that is obsessed with strings and destroying anything that has them (like clothing) so this was absolutely perfect for our household.

I was very disappointed with this when it came and have not used it. I thought that is was the elf that has movable arms and legs that u can hide in different positions. This one is hard plastic that only sits one way.

Unfortunately this is not what I thought I was ordering.

The purchase of this toy was a mistake. I was disappointed and when I saw it. It may have been in order from older children but mine don't like it. I RETURN IT.

This arrived quickly and it's cute. However there was some disappointed kids- the Elf is hard plastic. His arms and legs are not pose-able so he's stuck in the pose you see him...BUT it's still cute and the game is fun
