This is a great deal for the money, the image is bright and it works very well but there is one caveat. If you store the unit in the included vinyl case it becomes very easy to push the red on/off button without realizing it. This leads to the batteries being depleted without even knowing it. It is best to simply throw the vinyl case away and keep the box the unit comes in for storage. Or you could store the unit in the vinyl case and store both in the box. Another thing is that it is a bit tricky to get at the batteries but the included instruction sheet shows you how to do this.

On/Off switch is quite sensitive when placing in the case. It turns on when not intended as I place it in the case.

This is not 30X. I see others already said so - and showed photos. I should have taken the two minutes to read. I have an 8X and a 10X. This magnifies a little less than my 8x. We will assume it’s a mistake. As reviewer Mason said, '30mm lens' is what they probably meant. Now I must get a different one but I am keeping this because the large lens makes a wide and clear view. Sharper than my 8X. Nice quality lens, wrong description. You can see it's clear but certainly not bigger than the 10X

This broke right away, the inner lens came unglued and there was no way to fix it. Also the light stopped working after 2 months. This was only used a few times a week.

Exactly what I was looking for. It works better than the price suggests. I was looking for a lighted loupe but didn't want to pay too much. The magnification is very good from edge to edge and the available UV light is a nice extra. The scaled edges are not necessary for me, but it doesn't get in the way of seeing things clearly.

I found some old slides and reels while cleaning out my parents' house. This was an nice tool to look through everything and decide which I wanted to preserve. Provides a great look into the past, I highly recommend.

This is a great product with the very powerful 30 X glass. I particularly liked that. It has three light settings, white ultraviolet, and clear.. A super product! Had a great price point.

Good magnification and led lights. UV is handy as well. Leather pouch quality could be better without loose threads.

This is a really nice little magnifier. It’s good quality, made from metal, and with quite nice optics. For the price it was a really pleasant surprise.
