I've been using Silicone Mix for years. This product saved my life. Both my daughter and I have very long, very thick thick 4C hair that tangles badly. It took a full weekend to do one of our heads alone. I was tired and beyond frustrated. My daughter is tender-headed so she had gotten to the point where she was requesting a short hair cut. When I found this product it was a game changer. Most times a just co-wash, meaning I put this on my hair before wetting it or getting in the shower. I part my hair in about 6-8 sections, apply this liberally to each section, finger detangle, twist, then put a shower cap on. I let it sit, without a dryer, for about an hour if I have the time. Then I rinse it out by section, finger detangling and retwisting after each section. It has cut out so many steps and has saved us an immense amount of time and energy. I am so grateful. My hair is so much healthier, shinier, and more manageable. I no longer dread doing our hair. My daughter doesn't cry while getting her hair done anymore. Honestly, I wasted a lot of time and money listening to misinformed people who tell you that silicone is bad for your hair and that it doesn't let your hair breath and all kinds of foolishness. This product is very effective, smells great, is affordable and well worth the money you pay for it. I like the other silicone mixes as well. I do not use or care for their shampoos because it dries our hair out. I do like their leave-in conditioners but sometimes I just add a dime size of this product to my moisturizer per section. I promise it has changed my whole relationship and attitude with and about my hair. I will continue to reorder from this vendor as it is a reliable source and less expensive than my local beauty supply store.

I was shocked when I got this. I read the description yet the amount didn’t register. You get a tub of this stuff! It will last me about two years with my daughter and I using it. There were a lot of comments regarding the scent. Oddly, I found it to be just like that of a car wash when you open it. Very off putting. I almost didn’t use it because its strong. However, to my surprise, the scent seemed to evolve into somewhat of a product you’d find in a spa but not at all over powering. So far, no real changes in my hair compared to other store bought conditioner. I haven’t used it on any wigs either so I can’t comment on that. * EDIT: It is now summer 2024 and I still have the same tub. I stopped using it for a while as I’d shaved my head. However, now that it’s grown back to a bob I’ve been using this for co-washing and I absolutely love it for that! It leaves a lightly fragrant scent that wafts as I move my head throughout the day and it’s a nice mood booster. I wash my hair with a traditional shampoo weekly. I’ve maintained this routine for about 4 months and have experienced no issues of any kind.

I deep condition my hair once a week and Silicon Mix is my go to. I usually use the white container with bamboo but I decided to try this one. The size of the container was definitely what grabbed my attention first because I knew this would last me for quite awhile. Silicon Mix leaves my hair feeling good and smelling good Everytime. It also makes my hair super soft. I definitely will be purchasing again.

I put it in while my hair is damp after a shower, and it lasts all day. It can be reactivated with a little water when needed, and doesn't make my hair greasy
