Exceptional spf protection for the face in a very friendly and handy format.
What's not to love? This is a great product (so great, we ordered three). This stick is broad enough for getting sunscreen on the face quickly and easily, but small enough to be portable practically anywhere. My daughter is serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in South America for the next 18 months, so she's going to be outside most days, in the sun and heat, trying to keep her fair skin from burning and blistering. This is my mom moment of trying to protect her from afar - a simple and easy stick that goes on white, but then rubs in clear and easy to protect her from the sun. She can carry it most anywhere in her bag and reapply all day long. It rolls up easily like a chapstick or a gluestick and just makes sense. Would definitely order again. No fragrance, no greasiness. Just simple protection that works.

Finally Found a Daily Sunscreen My Sensitive Skin Loves
this is hands down the best one I've found. Even though the formula is thicker when you first dispense it, it spreads effortlessly and feels surprisingly lightweight once applied. It absorbs beautifully without leaving my skin feeling heavy, sticky, or greasy. What really sets this sunscreen apart is how well it works for sensitive, acne-prone skin. Nearly every sunscreen I've tried has caused breakouts, but this is the only one that consistently keeps my skin clear. It also doesn't have a strong fragrance, which is a huge plus since scented products tend to irritate my skin. I wear sunscreen every single day because I have rosacea, and UV exposure is one of my biggest triggers. This has become an essential part of my routine because it helps protect my skin from sun-induced flare-ups while feeling comfortable enough to wear all day. It layers well under makeup and doesn't leave a shiny finish, so my skin looks natural instead of oily. Pros: Thick formula that blends in easily. Feels lightweight once applied. Doesn't leave a greasy or oily finish. Perfect for sensitive skin. The only sunscreen that hasn't caused me to break out. Fragrance-free (or virtually no noticeable scent). Comfortable enough for everyday wear. Helps protect against UV-triggered rosacea flare-ups. Works well under makeup. Cons: The thicker consistency may surprise people who prefer very fluid sunscreens, though it blends in quickly.

Great for snorkeling and beach!
This stuff is great. I am blonde/blue, very pale skin, burn very easily. We went to the Caribbean for a week and used this for protection. Even with hours of beach and snorkeling - zero sunburn! Zero. I was very impressed. Reasonable price, and one bottle can last. My family of 4 just used 2 bottles during that week. Granted, two of us wear swim shirts so there was less to cover, and we generally spend half-days at the beach, not full. It says reapply after 80 minutes, but I think that's conservative. It does go on thick, leaves a bit of white cast, and doesn't come off easily in the shower, but to me those are good things. It's easy to see where you have covered, protects well, and doesn't come off easily in the ocean or light toweling. Well worth it! Will definitely use again.

The best good for the environment sunscreen
This is my favorite sunscreen that is good for you, and good for the environment! It goes on super easy, without making you white like some with zinc oxide do and i feel good knowing I can swim in the ocean and not cause any harm. I’ve been a fan of this brand sunscreen for a while and was so happy to see this face stick! Can’t wait to easily bring it on the go with me

Excellent Sunscreen, Hypocritical Branding - Beware for Allergies or Enclosed Reefs
3.5 stars. This is an excellent sunscreen, but the branding is misleading on four points - first, the listed active ingredients are "100% mineral", but the new formulation includes Butyloctyl Salicylate as an 'inactive ingredient', which is functionally a chemical booster of SPF. Second, this ingredient is very similar chemically to Octisalate, which is FDA approved, but causes allergies in a small number of people who may be mislead by the 'Sensitive' label right front and center. Third, while Blue Lizard was "born in Australia," it is not sold there and is not subject to Australian standards for sunscreen, so the "Australian Sunscreen" branding across the top is problematic. And finally, Butyloctyl Salicylate is classified as a potential long-term hazard to aquatic life including reefs. Australia limits it to 5% concentration and recommends less than 1% for those pregnant or under 4. (This is due to an abundance of caution over endocrine disruption that is currently backed by very little research.) That said, it is a very solid sunscreen, no scent to attract bees, goes on smoothly, minimal white cast, excellent protection. You can't get this quality AND SPF rating without chemical boosters. I have no concerns over Butyloctyl Salicylate and feel safe using this sunscreen on my toddler, but it does feel hypocritical to promote mineral sunscreen as superior to that unfairly dirty word, 'chemical', and then use an ingredient that performs with all the advantages of a chemical UV filter but does not need to be listed as such. (I will note this is a common practice, and the formula change could have come from the manufacturing provider without input from a brand chemist.) As for reef safety, use sun-protecting clothing as the first line of defense - this sunscreen should not be allowed in enclosed touristy spots where chemical toxicity is already a concern, but frankly minerals have their own aquatic toxicity concerns. This review is accurate to the best of my knowledge as of June 2026.

Best sunscreen on the market
Best sunscreen I've ever used! I love this stuff. I take medicine that makes my skin sensitive to sunburn, and I love to snorkel. This is the best product. Since I found it I've used it on every vacation I've been on. And I even use it when I am home if I will be outside for a long period of time. I just follow the directions and I haven't got a sunburn yet. It is even good to use on my face. Unlike other suscreen I have not had any trouble with breakouts. It works well with my skin.

Incredible sun protection that doesn't leave your hands greasy!
As someone who spends hours standing out in the Richmond summer sun doing event coverage, finding a reliable sunscreen is absolute necessity. This Blue Lizard Sensitive SPF 50 is easily the best I've used. Because it's a 100% mineral sunscreen, it doesn't irritate my skin or sting my eyes when I inevitably start sweating on a hot shoot day. One of the biggest benefits for my workflow is how well it rubs in. It doesn't leave my hands feeling overly slick or greasy, which is a massive deal when I need a secure grip on my DJI gimbal or when I'm adjusting settings on my Lumix. It offers fantastic, long-lasting protection, and the bottle changing color in UV light is actually a really helpful, quick visual reminder to reapply when I'm distracted on set. If you work outdoors or just need serious, sensitive-skin-friendly sun protection that won't mess up your gear handling, this is an absolute must-have for the equipment bag. Highly recommend!

Hard to rub into the skin.
I bought this sunscreen for a cruise and it is thick. It take a few minutes to rub it all the way in. When I put it on my legs it leaves a film and so I have to make sure that I rub it in until the white is no longer visible. It works well as a face sunscreen. I am not sure that I will order this again. I tried applying this to wet skin when my kids went swimming and it wouldn't rub into their skin. I think it's goo protection but I plan to try a different brand.

Small faces like lizard stick
My kids are often impatient and would Like to run away as soon as possible in the water. This stick worked well for them, we used it daily , multiple times per day, and it’s particularly easy to apply on their tiny faces , as opposed to the usual creamy texture.

I burn easily, this works brilliant for me and I feel confident knowing I’m fully covered
Amazing stuff. It doesn’t have a distinct smell from the bottle but when I covered my self it smelt of a nostalgic jelly shoes x hint of berry (in my opinion) which I quite like. It ‘white washes’ in a sense so u can see where you’ve placed it and then soaks in better. The lid colour change is handy I suppose but it states it only works for like 8 hrs of uv exposure to the lid so it’s more of ‘it’s a lil cloudy lemme check if I should apply more since it’s been a few hours’ and then you get it out and reapply if necessary.you wouldn’t want to just say leave it out on the sand or grass all day as it changes colour instantly so you will still want to keep in mind how long it’s been since applied. I found it’s great for those not necessarily direct sunlight days when u may b unaware of the harmful rays still hitting you. As im quite a pale girl, the white wash looks purple ish on my body and then it settles, im not sure if it would make a longer lasting white wash on other skin tones but I’d assume once it’s soaked and settled (usually about five minutes I found) it’d just look slightly glossy as it does with me.
