Excellent flow, great taste, right certifications
Purchased due to PFAS readings from our municipal water supply. The certifications were important to me and I didn't trust filters that supposedly last years. 6 months seems right, and while it's a new household expense, it seems worth it after installation. The parts & instructions were well made & written. Based on another helpful review, I purchased 3 inexpensive extra parts that eliminated the white piece that connects directly to the water supply line since it seemed to improve durability and ensure good flow. I hope they might upgrade their parts package to do this for future customers. The filter is long, and the best way to install under my sink was horizontal, which made it harder to reach the furthest screws, but not impossible, and now replacement is that much easier. Upon first test, heard the water try and make its way through but there was almost no flow. Long story short, something made its way to the faucet head, which once I cleaned it out, the flow seemed almost (90% or more) like pre-install. (Sigh of relief). I also had to reseat the connectors to the filter head housing to ensure no leaking. I put a small container underneath just to be sure, but it's been dry since day one. Water tastes very good, and it feels good to have done the best we can to improve the quality / health of our drinking water. Update: wanted to say that the 7 months that it was left in, the water flowed well and tasted good consistently. When the flow started to get noticeably slower, I was surprised at how easy it was to just change out the filter with no leaks. I did my best to shake the retained water out before disposing since it was kind of heavy. Don't forget to let it run for ~15 minutes after installing.

Hopefully large filter = Quality water
Bought this filter for achieving quality drinking water. Installation was relatively easy. Water is odorless and tastes very good. It is a very large filter. Before buying the filter make sure you understand how big the filter is and its placement.

Simple installation and excellent performance
This filter has excellent performance certifications and simple installation and maintenance. The flow rate is maybe 10-15% lower than without the filter, but we expected that trade off and are happy with it. You can find cheaper filters on Amazon, but if you want something you’ll be confident in I’d highly recommend this.

Adapters fail and cause leaks
Easy to install and water tasted great. But like others have mentioned, the adapters fail quickly. About 2 weeks after a professional plumber installed the filter, we noticed a leak under the sink. The plumber came back and showed us where the cheap plastic adapter broke. Unfortunately, it is a non-standard adapter, so buying a metal fitting from the hardware store is not an option. I would not recommend.

Clean-tasting under-sink filter that’s easy to live with
Installing this under-sink filter made a noticeable difference in how my tap water tastes and smells. Chlorine is basically gone, and the water has a clean, crisp taste that makes it more enjoyable to drink straight from the tap instead of relying on separate pitchers or bottled water. I also like knowing it handles more than just basic chlorine—things like lead and other contaminants—without needing a bulky multi-stage setup cluttering the cabinet. Setup was pretty straightforward for an under-sink system. The direct-connect design is convenient: you hook it into the cold-water line and it feeds the existing faucet instead of adding another separate spout. Once installed, water flow stayed strong enough for everyday use—filling pots, rinsing dishes, and cooking doesn’t feel painfully slow the way some filters do. The cartridge is simple to swap out when it’s time, and the footprint under the sink is compact enough that it doesn’t hog storage space. If there’s a trade-off, it’s that you do still feel some slight reduction in flow compared to totally unfiltered tap, and you have to remember to replace the cartridge on schedule to keep performance up. But for the improvement in taste and the extra peace of mind about what’s coming out of the faucet, it’s very reasonable. Overall, it’s a solid upgrade that makes everyday drinking and cooking water feel noticeably cleaner without turning the plumbing into a science project.

Quality beyond compare
THIS ""IS"" the filter you want..!!! We have had our water tested by one of the best labs in the U.S. that charges THOUSANDS of dollars for the test for PFA's and PFOA's . The tests have been returned to us that every single item of any kind of compounds is NON DETECTABLE. Worth every dime...!

Nice filter read install directions carefully before starting your install.
Filter is working great. Relatively easy to install... Make sure to measure your under sink space before ordering. The unit is quite large but it can be mounted in a variety of ways. The connections are relatively easy although be sure to read the directions carefully. You'll need to press the flexible tubing in with some force to be sure it gets in as expected. If you follow the directions carefully you'll have no problems.

Good inline filter but not a fan of the plastic fittings and filter wears out fast.
Wanted to save time and not spend everyday filling up brita filters, so explored undersink filter options. didn't want to drill another hole in the countertop so this inline one from aquasana is one of the few that fit the bill. Overall Impressions: - Filter is larger than expected! this prevented me from vertical mounting it w/ enough clearance to swap filters. - The filtered water tastes great, can tell its working. - Provided plastic adapter feels super cheap and doesn't instill much confidence (plastic against metal threading issues, hard to get a good fit without a lot of movement, i didn't trust it) - Flow rate dropped about 50% (i can live with that). I really didn't trust the cheap plastic adapter and ended up copying the setup from another reviewer (Jensen) and tossing the provided adapter. I used a couple of dedicated adapters and couplings to join the connections between water supply <> filter <> faucet. With this setup, the connections feel much more sturdy, YMMV. --- Update (after 2 months): I removed a star from the review, here is why: Flow rate continued to drop over time, at about 2 month mark, it became such a small trickle, it became unusable (hot water line will dominate, so it becomes very difficult to achieve a "warm" water temperature, unable to engage kitchen faucet spray modes due to low water pressure, etc). Basically I needed to order a replacement filter. At nearly $70 / filter, every 2 months, this becomes really expensive to maintain. - I believe the only suitable mitigation is to install a cheaper prefilter upstream, maybe 1-5 micron, so this filter doesn't get clogged. - In the meantime, Amazon has subscribe-and-save for the AO Smith (same company) branded version of the filter: AO-MF-ADV-R so that is one way to save 15% on replacement filters. - I would not recommend ordering from Aquasana directly - their free shipping is crazy slow. Been over 15 days since my replacement filter payment went through, and it still has not arrived. I ended up ordering another filter from Amazon after I couldn't stand it anymore. --- Update (after 1 year): I have since installed a cheap 3M Filtrete 5 micron prefilter (3US-AF01) upstream (see last picture). Of course the efficacy of the prefilter depends on your own water situation, but for me I've found it increased the life of the downstream Aquasana / AO Smith filters 2x. This has helped reduce my overall cost.

Requires adapters to fit UK pipes
Bought UK quick fit connectors as the provided are for USA tiny pipes. Push fit - paperwork says you need to cut perfectly square, so avoid if you don't think you will be able to. Lasts 6 months - shorter than others but filters more so we'll see. Water tastes good.

Dont Buy it.
What a waste of time and money! I bought a new filter because I thought the previous owners of the house were using it for a long time and the filter was clogged. To my surprise, the new filter was better, but the cold water flow was 10 times less than the hot line. And after less than 3 months, the flow is ridiculous! We can use tempered water because the hot water pressure wins, and I ended up removing the system.
