Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Nail Hardener, 13.3ml, Matte Top Coat

My nails were wrecked after removing BIAB’s Bought this to strengthen them as they were like paper & bending. A week later they are still weak but an improvement nonetheless. I have now added some non UV nail wraps & used this as base & top coat. Definitely recommend. Also this was half the price of Boots.

Amazing stuff! My natural nails are a bit unsightly and as we have party season coming up, I wanted them to look better so that I could use some nail varnish. I have very weak nails which split downwards and across. I put this on as a base coat, well over a week ago and then put nail varnish over the top. It has only just started to chip off which is unheard of for my nails! This stuff has allowed the nail to grow without breaking. Next time, I will use as a base coat, use my nail varnish and then use this stuff as a top coat. I think the varnish will last ages!

Delivers what it promised! So easy to use and it strengthens nails. I wish it the bottle and liquid inside doesn’t dry up too quickly though as the product is effective.

I, like another reviewer bought this because of the 'Matte' element of the Amazon description. It's not matte, but it's not really glossy either, and the bottle doesn't say it's matte! However in the absence of anything else I decided to use it. It has been really good. I have a problem with several of my nails splitting regularly every couple of days. The split hasn't grown out yet but since applying twice a day the split hasn't opened up as it would usually do. I am really pleased with it so far and would definitely recommend it.

It was advertised as a top coat, directions state to apply to bare nails as undercoat or alone. But mainly purchased this particular item as it as was advertised as being matte finish. It's quite shiny, definitely NOT matte. So far hasn't peeled or chipped though, so only reason I gave it any stars.

Takes only about 1 -2 minutes to dry but surface sets almost immediately, do if you do accidently catch it it doesn't smudge (that's a light touch not pressed hard against something - which I haven't done) It also lasts over a week. So perfect for holiday nails

My nails looked really nice for a day or two. After that they turned yellow and didn’t really help with keeping them stronger. Hadn’t done any work with my hands and my nail polish started chipping and peeling.

This stuff works pretty good, I've got to say.. I got it because my nails are pretty weak, and at the time I was dealing with a ripped nail (ripped all the way to dead centre from the side). Nails get harder as you apply more coats each day of course. You do have to make sure that you're doing a nice and smooth job of putting it on though, as it can get ugly and lumpy over time if not done right. It did get ugly and clumpy on the ripped nail, but with that nail I cared more about it not ripping further than looking good, so I had placed more focus and produce where the rip was. It did a great job of holding the ripped nail together actually. I didn't have to wear a bandage for two weeks, was able to reach in and out of my pocket without the nail snagging and ripping further. Towards the end it was more white than clear, but that's because the rip was at the point of being grown out, which made it easy for water and air to get under where the rip was as it was no longer over the nail bed. Because of the water and air that could get in at the bottom, the entire coating had then popped off, shed like a second skin.. But at that point the rip had already grown out, I just needed a super quick trim of the nail an was back to normal. I'm going to continue to use this normally, as my last ripped nail was right after I had just "recovered" from that same nail being broken. It was (and still is) nice and clear on all of the other nails where there was no rip and I had applied it properly. This is also a very good bang for the buck, much more affordable than competing products that cost almost three times as much!
