Selle Italia SLR Boost Superflow

I love this saddle. Beautiful craftsmanship and a minimalist design that puts just enough padding in the right spot for my skinny rear. I don't have much extra 'cushion' around back so I need a saddle that is well designed and this one is perfect...even for long days on the bike. I got this one for my road bike because a Selle Italia SLR came on my MTB and I loved it. I'm sure there are other great saddles out there but the SLR is tried and true for me so I'll have a hard time switching.

I’m a big fan of the SLR Boost saddles and this was my first superflow. Similar fit and feel as the version without the cutout but more comfortable for the sensitive parts and lighter. The saddle was also true the the mfg’s claimed weight. Do note this is a performance saddled so it’s not cushy and most comfortable but comfortable enough for 5hr+ and very solid platform for getting all your power through the pedals.

This saddle is light and not super padded. However, after one 26 mile ride, you realize you just notice the saddle less. Your legs move without rubbing the seat and its comfortable in all the seating positions. Although it seems to fit aggressive riding positions the best. The only time I noticed the padding was sitting straight up and down, which isn't a position I am in very often during a ride.

I first used this saddle on October 15, 2025, as part of a new bike build. The saddle was installed professionally by a bike shop in Boulder, Colorado. On 22 November, 2025, while participating in El Tour de Tucson gran fondo in Tucson, Arizona, I heard a sharp noise that I thought was from my saddle. The saddle did not feel different so I finished the ride without incident. On later inspection I discovered that the saddle had a crack. I am 5'9' tall and weigh about 144 lbs., so I am not a big person. Admittedly the El Tour course features some rough roads but I did not hit any potholes. Certainly a saddle at this price point and from a highly reputable saddle maker should not break within about 5 weeks of use. Otherwise the saddle fit me well.

After four months of use, the saddle failed along the upper portion of the left rail. The section sheared and the saddle failed. Amazon has a 30-day return policy. I contacted Selle Italia, and by email, they said they will not honor the 24-month warranty and that warranties must go through the retailer. I contacted Amazon this morning and they stand on their 30-day policy. The saddle performed quite well but I cannot recommend this product under these conditions. I am out the complete purchase price plus my work to replace the saddle and purchase another.

Light. No pressure “down there.”

I have experienced numbness issues with all the saddles I have tried over the past 4 years. This is the only saddle I have found which doesn’t cause numbness when riding in the drops. I love this saddle!

Aucun pb après six mois d'utilisation. C'est un peu dur au début, après on s'habitue. Pour les rides de plus de 30 min prevoir d'utiliser un cuissard.

Dommage de voir qu'à ce prix, la marque Selle Italia ne soit pas capable d'imprimer correctement les éléments sur la selle. En effet ce n'est pas que de la décoration, l'objectif étant de régler la selle, on se retrouverait avec une selle de travers ! Bref, je viens de la recevoir, et je pense à la renvoyer.

Da un punto di vista costruttivo è perfetta. Massima cura per ogni minimo dettaglio. Il peso rilevato è 2g in più, quindi assolutamente in linea con le caratteristiche tecniche dichiarate (fatto questo affatto scontato). I materiali sono al top. Venditore ok. Spedizione rapida. La confezione è minimalista segno che il valore è stato concentrato più nel prodotto che nel packaging il che ne aumenta ulteriormente il pregio. Consigliare la seduta è assolutamente soggettivo. Personalmente mi sono adattato a Selle Italia sin dagli anni ‘90 e ogni volta che ho cambiato sono ritornato precipitosamente a S.I. Io la trovo comodissima. Come debutto ho iniziato con due utilizzi da oltre cinque ore senza grossi problemi dimenticandomi all’istante della precedente sella. Mi piace anche la forma che trovo pratica. Totalmente open protegge la prostata e riduce la sudorazione inguinale che alla lunga crea irritazioni. Entusiasta, non tornerei indietro. Acquistata ad un prezzo molto conveniente. Preso la versione S3, per la mia conformazione fisica, ottima sella, comoda e confortevole. Con Selle Italia mi sono sempre trovato bene
