Finally, the perfect straw
These are utterly stellar, and they are the final fix to all my complaints about the big ol' quencher cups. Gigantic hose straws are good for smoothies, but then everyone is drinking faster and faster, which is good and bad. Good for hydration, bad for "dad can we stop again I gotta pee"... What's best is that they're the perfect straw diameter, and they're tall enough to fit all kinds of oddball bottles and containers. It's much more ergonomic to drink from these, even if I feel like jabba the hutt taking a drag from his space hookah next to the frog pot. They do not tolerate bending too well, and they must be cleaned for all non-water stuff. I find the material is pretty porous, so it will take on an unappetizing color if you have cola drinks without a pipe clean every other day. It's a fairly soft plastic, which is understandable.....those metal straws are deadly for teeth chipping! I know these straws are excellent, because I've had to buy three packs to make up for the mysterious shrinkage from everyone in the family and at work...

Hard to drink from a coffee cup when you're reclining in your Lay-Z-Boy
I took an 18 inch straw and cut it in half, and each 9 inch piece was still a bit longer than traditional straws, which was an excellent start. Lying back in the Lay-Z-Boy, tilting the coffee cup without a straw, the coffee certainly dribbles down ones chin, and beyond. The 9 inch straw requires implementing the ol ' hair-dryer trick. If it heats the straw for a minute or two, the hair dryer is barely sufficiently hot enough to allow putting a small, permanent bend in one end of a straw. However, the little bend makes it sufficient to allow drinking from a coffee cup, while lying way back in a Lay-Z-Boy, without anything dribbling down your chin. And beyond. For tea and coffee, I find the straws rinse out nicely. I hold a straw up to the kitchen faucet and blow some water through it for a few seconds. Good enough for a couple of hundred times. So far, I made one 18 inch straw into two, bent, 9 inch straws. And I put the other dozen or so straight straws into a closet where they'll get lost after a few years. Update after a few months: Rinsing after coffee, day after day, the straws start to get some discoloration inside. I got a package of "Silicone Straw Brush," Amazon item # B0BR2D2X82. The package includes two narrow diameter brushes that fit into these straws, tightly, you'll need soapy water to get the brush inside the straw. But that gets these straws clean like new. The package also includes two wider diameter brushes for the "straw" that's common inside water-bottles, which also fit tightly, requiring soapy water to get them inside the tube. Having found a way to clean the inside of these straws, the package of 18-inchers should last a few decades. The silicone brushes are long enough for 9 inch bent straws.

Good straws
Good straws for the price. However, I’ve had difficulty washing them as they retain the flavor and smell of the dish soap. This may just be me not knowing how to clean them properly!

Full Length Stability! Recommend 100%!
These straws have become an essential in our home. My father has ALS and, as is the nature of the condition, his ability to remain independent has been declining. These straws have been such a blessing in giving him the ability to still have Some independence, even for what seems like a small task of holding his own drink. We've had these straws for almost a year now - I like to wait and see how things last. These straws are Incredibly durable. They hold up just fine in a dishwasher. Using a straw brush is just as easy. As with any straw, washing immediately after use helps make cleaning easier. The material has stayed smooth and constant, meaning that normal use and cleaning does not cause any damage that would make it unsanitary to use. These straws are certainly bendable and flexible, but rigid enough to hold stable when using the full length. Mind you, these are not like the flex straws with hinges. They require the more gradual manual bend. I recall one reviewer saying he used a heatgun to gradually warm it to get the shape he wanted. This is certainly doable. But some plastics release toxins if you do this. I don't know enough about this specific type of material to know whether or not it would still be food safe after direct heating of it. If you want to use this method, I suggest you do more research on the material or ask the manufacturer. In the meantime, gentle manual curving of the straw has met our basic needs just dandy. These straws function perfectly whether you cut them short, or leave them long. If you cut them, just watch for tiny plastic burrs. There's not a lot. But as it's a multi-layered material, you may have a straggler plastic burr that needs the additional trim. They are stable and hold their form. Keep in mind that these are designed for thinner liquids such as water, juice, thin fruit nectar (like Kerns), or thin protein drinks. They can even handle 50/50 eggnog diluded with protein drink. Alternatively, these are too narrow for thicker substances like smoothies. But if the seller had straws like these with just a larger diameter for smoothies, I'm confident they'd be just as sturdy. The only con I can think of is that our fruit nectar drinks did cause the straw to change color. But I believe this had more to do with the nature of the beverage and the fact that the same straw was used repeatedly for this same drink LoL this does suggest a slight purmeability of the straw plastic - over time, with exaggerated use for a single colored substance. It's not enough to deter me from recommending this product 100%. One package has been sufficient for our needs. But I plan to buy more just because they're so fantastic, I feel you can't have too many.

Very useful and easy to use. Great length just what I needed. Good quality and worth the price! not too bendy but not to stiff it’s flexible. Very comfortable to use, no issues.

Cut to size
I didn’t read how long these where so was surprised when I received them. It was an easy fix. I was able to cut them down to the length I needed and have smaller straws for smaller cups also.

Great heavy duty straws you can cut to fit
We purchased these as replacement straws for our 40oz yeti style cups that didn't go all the way to the bottom. These were really long so we could cut to fit. They are a little smaller diameter than the original

They are a little thick but they work good and are extra long, I bought them for slushy’s and they’re great for that

My dad can't pick up any kind of glasses so he does have to bend over to drink. He really likes them

Bought this to facilitate drinking water for my wife who is hospitalized. The length of this straw is enough, and it is very convenient to use, but if you use boiled water, it tastes a little strange, I don’t know why

Though they are kind of flexible, they don't bend, not without pinching off the hole anyway. Should still be okay for what I wanted them for and I only just got them, haven't even taken them out of the plastic bag to wash them. Just pulled one out to give it a test because I realized none of them have any place where they are corrugated so that they can bend easily. The plastic feels kind of thin to be reusable for long too and the hole is smaller than I thought they'd be. Will update if there are any more issues.
