I am a first time user when it comes to polishers. So I have nothing to compare too. With that being said.. This is a quality machine for a reasonable price. I have no issues or complaints. Its not super loud. Nice and smooth, vibration isn't an issue. After lots of research, I did the 5 inch backplate conversion. Runs good. No stalling. I did a 2 step correction on a heavily scratched pickup truck. For the first step, I used Buff and Shine URO-Fiber Microfiber Pads, paired with Sonax CutMax. And for the 2nd step, I used Lake Country HDO Black finishing pads, with Sonax Perfect Finish. Again, I'm a first timer and I got excellent results from steps above. I chose these products based on knowledge gathered from reading through many different detailing groups/pages/forums and countless hours of videos watched. Lol. I know there's probably better products and better methods, but this worked excellent for me. 10/10 would recommend the Griots Garage G9 Random Orbital Polisher.

I was on the fence when I was looking for a buffer / polisher but finally made the investment to get this. Its super easy to use feels solid and after using it the paint shine is amazing! Should have bought one sooner.. much easier than trying to hand wax and the results look better.

I totally agree with Jim Adams 'below'. I've been using this type of buffer for decades and have had this one for 5 years. The trigger lock IS very poorly designed and I often swear at it but it does work. I had to trim part of the removable cord plug with an E-xato knife so it clicked in more easily. How about some quality control guys? My other buffers had a removable right angle handle that could the screwed in either side witch gives tremendous control of the tool. It does do an excellent job, runs cool with low vibration and should last a lifetime. They hype the thing like it's the ultimate, but it is not. Its' time to upgrade it guys, then it would be the ultimate.

Smooth and efficient DA. Has plenty of power. Makes it easy to keep the pad spinning compared to some other brands. Makes polishing quick and easy. Highly recommend

I tried a few polishers before buying this one and I must say that the quality/price ratio is really unbeatable. I am not a professional but I wanted something that allowed me to do quality work on my cars. The machine is really quiet compared to a lower end and it is really comfortable to use. It is also rather light, which allows working several hours without stopping. I use it as much for the bodywork as for the headlights. I would recommend it to everyone who wants their own machine!

Time will tell how durable this machine is, however it has a lifetime warranty so I'm not worried. Very comfortable to use and lets you cover a lot of surface area quickly. I know there are some people discontent about it being a fixed speed trigger, but I found you can fan the trigger to get it spinning slowly while spreading the polish initially. Also, for complaints about vibration, you are probably not centering the pad correctly, pressing at an angle, insufficient product, or the pad itself is damaged/unbalanced. Also, it will stall out if you try to squeeze it in tight areas, which is no surprise as you should use a smaller 2 or 3" pad in those areas. Great product.
