Digital Multimeter, Voltmeter 1.5v/9v/12v Battery Voltage Tester Auto-Ranging/Ohmmeter/DMM with NCV Function, Accurately Measures Voltage Current Amp Resistance Capacitance

I have had a lot of cheap multimeters. They were hard to read and harder to really understand the settings and I never could figure them out the 3-4 times a year I might need to use one. This meter is much better and perfect for me for basic work around the house. As my first use for this meter, I wanted to test a AC unit capacitor to see if it was bad. This meter has that setting and worked great confirming it was bad, so I replaced the capacitor myself for $20 bucks vs a $200+ AC repairman! The meter is good size, about the size of your hand. Display is large and easy to read. Backlight display is really bright. It has a "contact" voltage setting. Hold it to an outlet/switch or power cord and it will show bars if it detects power. Can test 120 volts, car battery or quickly all small battery sizes. Also has a beeper for test continuity/broken wires etc. . To me it has everything the "average joe homeowner" needs, is not overly complex and easy to understand settings. I thought about spending more, but after getting this for under $20 bucks, this was the best decision and best value. Does everything I will ever need with easy to read and understand settings. There are a lot of reviews on YT that show you have to use this model and shows it has good accuracy as well. I am happy with it.

This has turned out to be an excellent tool for my audio restoration efforts. It seems to be quite accurate, easy to use, easy to read and offers nearly all the functions I could want or need. Great value for the money.

Had a nasty car battery draw. Local shops were quoting out their goop shoot. Hit the instructional videos on YouTube and found all the little nasties killing my new car batteries. Stick with the videos posted by rednecks (I mean that as a compliment). Next civil war I'm switching sides. These guys are the MacGyver's of auto repairs. They'll rip your ass off too but the dudes who post videos really know their stuff at least when it comes to rooting out a battery draw. Should have bought this multimeter sooner. Saved a mountain of cash. Best diagnosis is to pull fuses. Everything else is NG.

Works great. Simple to use with the provided instructions. I was able to track down a charging issue that I had with my Toro Time Cutter mower with this multimeter and the help of YouTube. I would recommend this item.

I've had this VOM for 3+ years and it works great. I wanted something that measured capacitance so I could check the start capacitor for my outside AC unit (and save big bucks by avoiding a service call). I had a minor issue and the Customer Service (Yolanda) was incredibly responsive. That alone would have me buy AstroiAI products going forward!

Fully covers my needs and really well built for a very low price. But this is coming from a hobby user so can't say anything for professional use. Would personally say this is a perfect entry level multimeter primarely because it does exactly what it needs to do for a rather small investment. The instructions are sadly entirely in German though but it hardly matters since multimeters all use about the same symbols so a quick google search and you can find perfect English guides that applies to this product.

It uses cheap AA batteries. Other multimeters use more expensive 9V batteries.

Checks all the boxes for me: auto-ranging, decent count display, cheap (AAA) batteries, auto-switchoff. Also has a display backlight, though it's not needed in most conditions as the display is very clear. Not convinced by the 1.5V, 9V and 12V battery settings, they don't seem to do anything that the auto-ranging DC voltage setting does. It's not like it flashes green/red for good/bad or anything. The non-contact voltage setting seems to work - could be useful, though since I've never had that before I'm not sure how often I'll use it. The supplied leads are decent length flexibility, and have push-on croc-clip tips which adds flexibility in connections. Can't comment on accuracy at the moment, I'll try to compare it with my bench power supply and a friend's £200 Fluke meter to get an idea. At the £12.99 I paid it's a bargain. If it was £20 (the alleged full price) it would be decent value, but there would be plenty of other options to choose from at a similar price.
