This is a great British product. They are moist and delicious tasting and made with finest ingredients. Excellent value, great service, items are packed well and fast delivery too!

Absolutely authentic. Made in Manchester, near Eccles. They're exactly what you get there. Delicious, buttery, flaky pastry with a dense filling of blended currants creating the texture of fig. I'd give 5 stars, and understand they need to be shipped and imported but they are more than 3 times more expensive than there. Still worth it though to feed the craving.

Very small and not worth the price! They taste okay, but are from a packet. They do crumble in the packet, regardless of packing material.

These cakes are over the moon. Or I am after trying my first Eccles cakes We were both in love with these and will get many more Well done folks. Fresh, flakey and full of filling. I used to like Garibaldis - but no more - they are dry and stingy on filling. This is my new love. Costs more but worth it - will have less for the great quality. So lovely and buttery and full of raisins.

I received outdated Eccles Cakes. I ordered them on Jan. 24, 2026, but the cakes were outdated in November, 2025. I served one before I took a bite myself. The filling was stiff, the pastry dry and tasteless. I was so disaapointed and embarressed. I should have headed the negative reviews.

This is a British product consisting of four buttery small cakes with a currant/raisin filling. If you are an American, the filling is a lot like that in a Fig Newton, texture wise. The dough around the filling is just fabulously rich in a way that only butter can provide. These are a fantastic treat. I split one with my husband and had to hide the rest from him so that we could “pace ourselves”. These cakes were super fresh and in perfect condition. They were very well wrapped in the box with no breakage. Decadent and very tasty. Very moist yet the cake itself holds together well.

I bought these cakes out of curiosity after season 2 of Good Omens. I’m so glad I did! The pastry is flaky and the filling is mild and raisin-y. Now, I treat myself to them on a monthly basis and I have them warm with my morning cups of coffee. I think they’re fabulous.

I like eccles cakes now I am older when I was younger I thought they were horrible. My late partner loved these as well. My only gripe with them is they always have an inedible bit of pastry on them. All of them and always. I mean you can eat it if you want of course, but if you want to keep your teeth. Nice with a bit of sliced apple.

Je voulais essayer cette pâtisserie anglaise classique, mais j'ai été déçue par la liste des ingrédients. Ces gateaux sont beaucoup trop industriels. Ils manquent surtout de pur beurre. Je ne sais pas pour Lancashire. Le problème est général. Bon, je sais maintenant à quoi ça ressemble un gâteau Eccles. La prochaine fois je les préparerai moi-même avec de pur beurre et sans les autres ingrédients indésirables et peu appétissants. Je vérifierai la recette.
