Magic Bullet Express Deluxe 26 Piece Mixer & Blender (25 Piece with Bonus Ice Shaver Blade)

I had seen this product's infomerical for years and had wanted for awhile. We get in smoothie kicks and I've bought shakers and even a smoothie machine with the front spout - neither worked as well as my glass blender I got back in 1992. But the problem with the blender was the cleaning! The smoothie product didn't just rinse off the glass and the bottom had to be taken off EVERYTIME I used to clean. Then I saw that the Magic Bullet blade is just one piece. I figured why not try. I liked the fact this one came with two larger smoothie mugs and lids. The blade rinses clean everytime! The only time I've needed a brush was when I used it to blend cheese and the cheese was sticky (velvetta). I did have to brush a bit when I ground up my peppercorns but so easy! I truly use this everyday at least once. It does take a little time for things to mix - you can't just count to 3 and it's done. Sometimes if I put in a solid on the bottom before liquid or fruit - I have to give it a shake and then blend a second time to get it all. I gave 5 stars just because the few negatives that I will mention do not affect the overall product - just fyi. 1. There are 3 little knobs that insert into the blender to activate it. Problem is when then trying to open - to remove lids or blender base - the little knobs hurt your hand if not careful. 2. The cups/mugs are all too small. They need to be just a little bigger because by the time you account for the space displaced by the blade - sometimes my stuff was overflowing. 3.Travel lids - love but they don't screw on just right - the grooves are off just a bit that the mouth opens just to the side of the handle. (Almost over the handle - have to tighten as hard as I can so they aren't over the handle) 4.The Blender - not as big as it looks. When researching I read some blogs and watched a couple testing videos that were critical. They had obviously not read the instructions and were solely basing their critic from comparing what they perceived they saw on TV. It's clear on tv there is a bit of editing. Again - I love this - I just wish I could maybe buy bigger mugs with travel lids that fit better. It's so easy to clean - I rinse the blade and put the mugs in the top rack of my dish washer (not even rinsed out!).

evrything works great, and evryone in my fam is now blending all over the place, u might think this thing is not really very useful, untill u get it, now that i've been using it, i'm just surprised a t the stuff it can do.... glad i bought it....it was this or the big one, then i thought a carrot is a carrot, more amps, just smashes it it slightly faster, so this little package turns out to be great, does just what it says, and really well, i trashed a vitamix, cause i got tired of its bulkiness, glad i did, this machine does what the vitamix did in a fraction of the room, and the bullet express is way easier to washup.... very good buy.... WATCH OUT!!!! normal wear and tare, and it died, square trade electronically screwed me, said that wear and tare is accidental damage.... so the website closed the case and i got screwed twice once cause it died and twice cause i paid for the extra warranty, dont waste ur time just buy an extra base 30$ on amazon... square trade.... more like square something i wont say here....

The Magic Bullet is a good product as long as you do not purchase the older model with a faulty design. Be careful the person you are buying it from is not trying to unload older models. I have had a magic Bullet for a long time and loved it. I bought this new one on line and found it was a faulty design because it is made different than my first one. I have only had this new one for one month... Used probably less than. Doz. times. Last night when I tried to use it the wheel that turns the blad turned to a white powder! It was pulverized! I will be sending this back and buy a new one in a local store... Not from a online seller!

I got one of these as a gift when my twins were old enough to start eating mushy foods. I've got a regular blender, but the size and ease of use made this the "go to" tool to mush foods in small quantities quickly...with little to clean up afterwards. Now, the big blender just collects dust. I use this for everything...sauces, salad dressings, marinades, crushing dehydrated herbs, etc. This is a larger kit than my old one, with more cups and even a big blender jug. So, it's even more versatile. Really all I needed was more cups after other users in my house broke the tabs off my original cups by misuse. (The tabs activate the blender motor when you press the cup into the base.) But the original base is still working fine...and now I have two.

I am a smoothie fiend. I drink lots of it. So when I saw the magic bullet recommended on a smoothie aficionado site, I decided to buy one. I have a food processor which I also bought from Amazon aft some research, so I know it is a decent food processor at a good price. I'll compare the two. Pros Convenient - it is small. I can pull out the unit from the cupboard with one hand and set it up in hardly any space or time at all. I can use my hands and throw in berries and fruits, screw on the blade and blend away in less than two minutes. Clean up is easy. I can drink directly from the blending vessel once I attach the accessory. The blade and cup and accessory can be rinsed quickly directly under the running faucet. Power - it made short work of things I wanted to blend ... Including ice cubes. Neutral Effectiveness - the blending vessel is small. Some food items do not want to drift towards the blades. Sometimes I have to separate the vessel give it a shake and resume blending. Cons Cleanliness - but wait you said ... I know what i said. The gaskets leak. I've unscrewed, rescrewed the lids, blades accessories. It leaks. It leaks especially when you're shaking it to get the food to distribute evenly. It leaks through the bottom hole where the blade connects to the motor. From there it leaks INTO the unit. I had blackberry juice running out the bottom of the unit, but not any of that was down the sides.

I had a different brand small blender that burned up the second time I used it, so I was a little hesitant to try another small blender. I looked at the Magic Bullet several times before I decided to buy it. I'm so glad I purchased this! It is very small, but don't let the size fool you! It is an amazing tool. If you follow the directions for use, this machine is amazing. It performs as advertised. It blends frozen fruit into a creamy smoothie in a matter of seconds. I am so impressed by this little goody, I ordered a second one to keep at work. I can't wait to try some of the other recipes in the book. If you're looking for a small, powerful blender, you will love this one!

ORIGINAL REVIEW (Feb 2015): I have only used the blender for making protein powder shakes but am sure that it would handle frozen fruit as well as it does ice cubes. It is very quick and grinds ice cubes in seconds--especially with the bonus ice shaver blade. The ice shaver blade really does work better for ice: it will make 5-6 ice cubes smooth in under 10 seconds. So why the three stars? After a few weeks of use--luckily, during Amazon's return period--it made a huge bang and a big cloud of smoke came out. Now it runs, but apparently slower and does not work quite as well. And a bad smell comes out every time it is turned on. I'm returning it but am buying another. Hopefully, it was a fluke. A clever design, very easy to use, and pretty easy to clean. I just rinse the blades immediately after very use and occasionally run the blender with soapy water. The containers do fine in the dishwasher. I hope my next one lasts longer. UPDATE (May, 2015): Hope's dashed. Another terrible sound, burning plastic smell, and the ice shaver blade is dead. The connections between the blade and motor are all plastic and they broke (see pictures). It must have damaged internal parts, as well, because it is not working well (cannot grind ice). I'll try warranty service and maybe another brand. UPDATE #2: I called for warranty service and a new blender and blade are being sent. I had to pay $8 for shipping but that's less than it would cost me to return the defective parts (which is not required). The manufacture date was within a year so they didn't even need a copy of my receipt. Pretty easy so I added back a star. Let's see how long this one lasts!

had ones of these for about 9 years but it finally gave up the ghost.I was pretty hard on it and I used it A lot! like a smoothy every day for years and for other things but mostly smoothies so lots of ice crushing. I'd get this over a regular blender any day. I had bought a smoothie maker blender for like 60 bucks at Pennys and the motor went out and I had to return it and the same thing happened like 4 x within a few months! so I finally gave up and got a bullet and I'm so happy with it. But better yet the new ones like this one I got comes with 2 more larger taller cups with lids! and a new ice blender blade and a larger blender container for making more than one at a time! and the price is the same I paid like 9 years ago! actually it was longer ago than that now that I think of it. I got it when they first came out so wow, you can't beat it! and I love love the new ice blade makes my smoothies much faster!
