Good for keeping currency? Bills?

For keeping nice and pressed? No, you have to fold them - they are very small. As a small gift to hand out, yes that could work.

what color are in 500 count?

With the experience I've had the colors were as shown with blue red pink yellow green white purple etc and then it just depends on how they package them as to how many of each color you get to equal your 500 count

Will these for the tiny Inspiration cards/motivation cards?

Depends on the size of the cards. I suggest you look at dimensions of the envelope as stayed in ad to verify. Make sure they will fit. I love these colorful envelopes. I use them to store and share seeds from my garden.

Can I fit a gift card in these?

What a wonderful idea! However these Particular envelopes are too small. I suggest measuring one of your credit cards as gift cards are approx the same size, and look for larger envelopes. I have seen them.
