Good for small tasks!
I bought this product to shave off the top of my doors so they can close properly. Great value. Saved myself a couple hundred dollars having someone else do it. This tool only cost me $12! It was easy to use and I was able to finish three doors in under 15 minutes. The metal body fits nice in my hand. The blade wasn't as sharp as I hoped but it did the job. The blade is fairly easy to replace but you have to balance and fiddle with it a bit to get the blade in a proper position. Overall, it was great value and choice for a small task. If you're planning on using it a lof, I recommend spending a few extra dollars for another brand or model with better quality.

Great tool
This was as cheap as just replacing the rasp piece that broke on my 15 yr old model. Worked like a champ, as did the original one. Good purchase!

Secret Woodworking Weapon
You can basically do anything to wood w/ this thing, as long as you're patient -- some of the reviews have complained about the plastic set screw that holds the blade in place, which is a legit gripe -- how much more expensive would it have been to make it out of basically "immortal" metal? But that shouldn't be a problem as long as you hit it w/ WD40 once in a while to keep it from getting brittle. Pro tip: Use a a pair of pliers to loosen & tighten set screw -- your fingertips will thank you!
