Witch Hazel PM Alcohol Free (Lavender/Chamomile) by The Homestead Company

The scent seems to be an oil that doesn't readily mix leaving a film in top and the need to constantly shake up.

after trying many off the shelve Witch Hazel products and not knowing what to expect or the advantage of them I was happy to discover this one, with Lavender and Chamomile and NO Alcohol, a wonderful fragrance and a natural stringent for the skin, soap used on the face is very alkaline and drying, Witch Hazel used on the face returns the skin back to acidic which is ideal, you can feel the difference and cleaness using Homestead company Witch Hazel essentials P.m. and without alcohol, I use it after washing my face and then adding ASDMBeverly Hills 100% Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum to my daily routine and finishing it off with High Altitude Organics Evening Primrose Oil or Jojoba oil for the day

Its just as good as the plain witch hazel. The smell is nice and works as good as the stuff without the oils. This also has aloe vera in it. I use witch hazel for everything skin related. I just use this on my face. After I use up this stuff I think I will just go back to the plain witch hazel for my face. I tried it but didn't think it was any special to replace what I have been using.

I was quite excited about this product because most hazel witch contains alcohol and I wanted to avoid that since alcohol can dry out the skin. I am glad this product is being offered and overall I recommend it. Still only three stars because I don't really like the scent, I find it too strong. Maybe it has to be that strong because the original scent of witch hazel is already pretty strong that you have to add a large quantity of essential oils to overcome that. Next problem is that I am having difficulties opening the lid. It is rather small and I can't really grab it. My boyfriend has no issues with it so maybe it is just me but I really wish it was in a different container. The price is rather high compared to regular witch hazel (the one that contains alcohol) but reasonable compared to other alcohol-free witch hazel or compared to my previous facial toner (a Clinique product, probably twice as expensive). Also, the shipping was free and the item came packaged well and quickly. And it is made in the US. If you have never tried witch hazel at all, I highly recommend it. It is all natural and very gentle to the skin. Witch hazel performs much better than any other facial toner I have tried. I will buy it again but next time I will order either the other scented witch hazel (AM) or the unscented one to fix the scent issue. And I will pour the content into a different bottle so I will be able to open it by myself.

I thought I would give this a try as lavender is calming for the skin and I read it is good for rosacea sufferers. I like having a natural product to remove makeup at night (I do not use this to remove mascara). I don't really see an improvement in the redness of my skin, but my skin does feel good after using this. Overall I like it, but did not do what I hoped it would.

I've purchased both the lavender and orange witch hazel from The Homestead Company twice, and I love both of them. I use the orange in the morning after cleansing my face, and I use the lavender in the evening. Although the bottles are little bit smaller than the other brands you can find in the drug store, I believe the product itself is superior to the witch hazels that I used to buy. They both smell great and the witch hazel cleanses my skin without drying it. In fact, my face feels softer than before I started using this. Since I only use each fragrance once a day, these bottles lasted me over 5 months. I recommend them to anyone who is interested in using a natural toner.

I've had acne for 22 years. I've tried everything and nothing seems to work. Everything dries my skin too much which makes the acne worse. And my skin is pretty sensitive and reacts negatively to most products. I've spent a lot of money over the years trying different products, medicines, etc. I was a little nervous to try this. We have family pictures coming and I didn't want a terrible breakout right before. So far so good! My skin is soft. No flare ups or reactions. The acne is calming down and my skin feels fresh and clean. It's a nice scent, also. Lavender is great to use before bedtime and I will definitely be buying this product again.

I like this product, a bit pricey but smells good. My feedback would be to please sell in glass containers please. Some of us that are holistic have an aversion to plastic
