VTech KidiZoom Creator Cam

The camera seems well made and durable. I bought two and both kiddos love them, very entertaining and good quality, easy to use, and nice size. The sound could be a little louder but overall, we’re happy with them.

Our grandson, age 3, loves to act out things he sees in YouTube videos. So he asked for a camera and we got this for him. He had no trouble using it with no help at all (he already navigates Gizmo, iPad, Amazon Fire, and Apple TV with ease). He loves to take pictures! "Say cheese" he says. He loves the flip-back lens to take selfies. He can flip through his pics and play the silly sounds. I can import them into a Mac mini with no trouble and then show them on the big TV to his delight. He has access to the camera without asking permission so it gets bounced around plenty and is doing fine. He loves using the tripod and the camera also fits a standard tripod fine. When I put my iPhone on a tripod for some occasion, he will put his camera on a tripod too to play along. I got a microSD chip for it which didn't cost much so he can shoot shoot shoot. Don't order a microSD until you get the camera to be sure you get exactly the correct type. There was zero set-up for the micrsoSD, it just worked. I rated picture quality a 5 because this is an inexpensive kid's camera and quality is fine for that.

My Grandson instantly started using it and loves it. Get the case too, they actually should make it a set, camera, tripod and case.

Pros: Can do both video and photos Selfie and regular front facing modes 22 great green screen animations (make sure you have lots of light in the room. My kids also like to see if any of their green/teal shirts act as green screens too) Fun photo frames Button controls are easy to use (with volume control!) Tripod works great (removable) Games are fun (and can be turned off by the parent!) Cons: Short battery life Doesn't come with a memory card Note: The photo screen on our unit got stuck upside down after 3 months of use. I called VTech customer service and they said they will send a replacement camera without me having to return the old one. However, in order to receive a replacement camera, I had to "deface the product" by writing a specific number on my defective unit with Sharpie and emailing a pic of the defaced product to VTech. This is probably to prevent anyone from using a unit for multiple warranty replacements. Still a weird policy. I talked a manager into letting me write this number on the front of the camera instead of on the display screen. Since the selfie mode and the camera games still work fine, it seemed like a waste to just wreck the whole camera instead of being able to still use it in a limited capacity while we wait for the new one to arrive. Bottom line: A great video and photo camera for kids, call VTech directly for any warranty issues.

Each of my 4 smaller children has one of these cameras. I bought three last year for the holidays for them and my oldest of the 4 decided he wanted one this year so I made another purchase for one. My children are ages 6-8-9- and 10. We are a low media family and none of my children have phones, tablets, or anything like it. The cameras are and have been a huge hit here. They have played with these cameras nearly every day for a year now. They really enjoy making funny videos of each other. The phone looks and is high quality, Super easy to use, VERY durable, and the battery life is wonderful. My children have dropped these cameras countless times. Some of them have been left outside overnight and once in the rain. I thought the camera left in the rain was a goner, nope! That thing is still working like new. The camera looks cool. Image quality is great. The only con I can recall is the video recording time. I wish it recorded longer videos.

Perfect gift for any kid who loves the content creator life. My nephew records everything and carries it everywhere! Good size for small hands.

Me gusta que ha soportado el uso de las manitas infantiles y que trae muchas funciones para que se entretengan los niños con creatividad, explica ahí como grabar ciertas cosas como para hacer efectos de magia, usar un fondo verde para efecto transparente etc. Lo que no me gusta es que la calidad de esos efectos no es muy buena pero para ser una cámara de niños esta bien.

This has been 1 of the best purchases I’ve ever made.Granddaughters have played with this a lot since last year & now the little sisters 3 I need to purchase another for her as she wants her own 🤣It’s really sturdy as this has been thru the mill getting dropped etc & it’s still going strong.Quality in pictures & videos is top notch & the kids absolutely love it,100% recommend 👍🏻
