I'm really impressed with this item! From the moment I unboxed it, I could tell it was well-made and designed with the user in mind. Setup was straightforward and quick, which is always a huge plus. My son is 14, he loves to yoyo now. He learned easily with this simple yoyo, now he has moved to a fancier heavier one, but still likes to yoyo with this one. Very good starter yoyo.

Bought this for my dad and he died before he could really perfect any methods. Not the yo-yo's fault, of course. The yoyo is fine.

What fun! A great way to entertain oneself.

I was a kid back in the 90s and had an Original Butterfly back then. I thought it was the best Yo-Yo I owned at the time. I had a lot of crappy Duncan Yo-Yos as a kid until I got the Original Butterfly. This version of the Butterfly, the Butterfly XT, is the 3rd version of the Butterfly that Duncan has made. They had a 2016 version that is similar to this new 2019 Butterfly XT. Both the 2016 and 2019 versions look similar in terms of body design, but they have different cap art. I enjoyed playing with the new 2019 Butterfly XT. It is able to do the basic tricks I was able to do as a kid, which were: 1.Sleep the Yo-Yo 2. Walk the Dog 3. Rock the Cradle 4. Around the World In terms of what YouTubers can do this Yo-Yo can also do advanced tricks. It's not a competition Yo-Yo, or a Yo-Yo to do really crazy stuff on, but it will get the job done on many tricks. From beginner tricks to advanced ones, and it only costs $5, which is insane. If you want something more advanced the Duncan Hornet is $12.99, so there are other higher-end options out there, but if you're looking for a solid cheap Yo-Yo the Butterfly XT should be able to hold you over for hours on end.

Purchased for my grandson who is 7. He enjoys working on his yo yo skills. The size is manageable, highly durable and seems responsive, even though he is clearly a beginner. Good value, hours of entertainment.

It lasted 1 day and stopped spinning . Cheaply made . Had to take apart and fix

I bought this for my 9yo who is into yoyos. Its great and has enabled him to take his tricks to the next level. Being able to open the yoyo means an end to dealing with knots. The plastic is more robust than the basic Butterflies and does not chip/crack when impacting the pavement as readily.

Bought this for my son, who, after watching a few YouTube videos, decided he wanted to be a world Yo-Yo champion... We've had the cheaper ones that you get in party bags ect, this is a whole new level compared to those, you can easily do all the tricks that you want to learn and the Yo-Yo will perform exactly as you want it to. For the money, its perfect. the quality is good, it looks good, and it comes with spare strings so these can be easily if needed. All in all, its a good bit of kit and wont break the bank yet give you a quality, and original Yo-Yo.

Kids love it. Great quality overall.
