The Shaman's Dream Oracle: A 64-Card Deck and Guidebook

UPDATE: I re-purchased this deck. It's a year on and they seem to have re-printed it and the stock is heavier and not sharp at the edges. I am delighted to have it back, I kept coming back to it and was wishing I still had them - delighted that I came back and followed my intuition. As other reviewers have noted the quality of the card stock is extremely poor. But I really wanted the deck nonetheless so I went for it. I think that the deck is a real work of art, a clear labour of love. The artwork is just stunning and the colours - my goodness - but the deck itself is cut badly, sharp and I can see how people have gotten papercuts from this deck. Thin stock with rough edges so they will no doubt separate over time. Had the quality of these been similar to The Wisdom of the Oracle, or The Enchanted Map they would have been excellent. BUT if they had been the same quality as the Mystical Shaman then they would have been perfect. Hay House should spend more time on quality control and less time offering free stuff online. I returned them for a refund.

I think this may just be my new favourite deck of cards (I have a lot!) the quality of the cards are amazing & so easy to shuffle, slides but have a nice smooth matte feel. The art work is BEAUTIFUL! I feel so connected to the deck & all the different messages/meanings on each card & the images help to get that extra layer. The book has been so well written. If I was to keep just one deck that covers all my needs it would be this one I think. So happy I purchased!

I pre ordered the day before release & glad I did as reading the reviews I wouldn't have. I think if the card was thicker it would be hard to shuffle & hold the whole pack (but I tend to be gentle & slow at shuffling). I loved every picture & if glossy I think that would detract from the artwork. I actually had to look at another set (magical unicorns, thicker, glossy card) to see if thin card, yes they are thinner, but I'd not describe as bad quality. The book seems to give a good understanding of cards & I like it being so easy to find the description by the numbers. The box with magnetic closure is lovely. So far they seem to give accurate readings for me & I'm pleased with them (& glad I got before I saw reviews)

I bought these cards as I have been drawn to the shamanic side on my spiritual journey. These cards have great artwork and are easy to work with. I have had a few good readings off them.

i have to say i was hesitant to purchase this due to the bad reviews but i am so glad i went through with buying this stunning deck anyways! I do think everyone is entitled to their own judgement so it’s fair if this deck did not fit some people’s expectations but i think it’s worth the purchase! It’s so stunning and very easy to shuffle, the cards may be thin for some but i like the quality because these cards don’t stick together and it’s easy to shuffle! Considering this is a 62 card deck if it’s too thick of a card stock the shuffle can be difficult so i think it’s a fair quality for the price and i would recommend! :)

I brought these as a present for my friend but on first impressions the cards and guidebook are presented in a lovely box that has a magnetic opening to the side. I do already have these cards and the illustrations on the cards are really detailed and the guidebook goes into so much detail as well as giving ideas for different spreads. Ideal present

Forever a fan of Colette and Alberto’s decks. After collecting the Mystical Shaman deck and falling in love with it, I just had to have these too. The artist(s) do a fantastic job with the art work on all of the decks under Colette’s name, there hasn’t been a deck yet that I haven’t liked. Thought provoking pictures that are beautifully presented and easy to understand. It’s a beautiful edition to add to their works and a beautiful edition to add to my collection! I’ve found it easy to connect to and work with nicely. The information booklet that has come with it is jammed pack with lovely information and how to use the deck in great detail - excellent for beginner Oracle readers! - The box that the deck and book come in is, in my opinion, the best type of box. It has a magnetic close on it that it snaps shut and stays shut, which I love for putting in my bag and not having to worry about everything falling out. There’s no faffing because it opens up like a book and there is a ribbon attached to the middle on the inside for smooth lifting of the deck. The soft celestial colours on the inside are also lovely. Now for the reason I’ve given the deck 4 stars. The card stock. Don’t get me wrong, the matte effect creates a buttery feel while shuffling, which I love, however the type of card stock is really sharp. I got a deep paper cut almost immediately just by shuffling, and while blood is great for magick with a deck, I would’ve preferred to do it by choice. The card stock is possibly too thin and roughly cut in the processing, so be wary on the sharp edges! I am contemplating giving them a light sand down. All in all a fabulous deck, would highly recommend as you can’t really go wrong with the decks these authors produce. The deck is very detailed, well thought out and definitely designed with love by the whole team. Very happy with them!

I am not sponsored, I want folks to know that these cards are super! Ok, not the thickest but since there are 64 of them it's understandable. They are still substantial enough and I like them a lot. I have collected and used many decks for my own psychological and spiritual guidance over many years. I now count this deck to be amongst my preferred decks. The artwork and guidance are amazing and I am very glad that I bought them.
