PTNHZ Universal 3" Racing Carbon Fiber Cold Feed Induction Kit Air Intake Kit Air Filter Box Without Fan

My first order was shipped damaged and I returned it. Second order was shipped in good condition and fit (with minor modifications to fit the air intake of my car) good in the tight space of Boxster 986 engine compartment. The carbon fiber air induction is very sturdy and thats a plus. Great cone air filter too. A great deal for the price.

I love this filter I use it in conjunction with a cold air intake and OffRoad snorkel. Works great.

Cheap way to add a cold air solution to my 03 Audi 2.7t twin turbo. And yes the filter inside had the glue on both ends to fill gap vs other review photos I seen

This kit is ok. It works except for the filtering part. It definitely does not filter dust or dirt very well. Got this kit after installing a snorkel. It made it easier to move the filter location instead of using the factory air box. After about a week, my throttle body is caked with dirt. Unfortunately dirt and dust are the number one piston ring killers aside from unburnt fuel. Aside from the filter being terrible and no option to replace it, it works ok. The screws that hold the housing closed don't seal the end very well but the cone filter has a rubber seal. Also the couplers are not the size they describe in the product info. They are in between so no, their measurements are not inside or outside diameter. If you're in a pinch it's better than nothing.

After modification to make it water tight it works great on my custom Durango snorkel intake. I did not use the flex tubing, reducers or "Turbo Fan".

The flexible plastic tubing is thin and cheap, and for some reason the filter smells like burning plastic out of the box. I suppose it's as easy to install as any other filter, but seems very cheaply made - and the smell...

The fan is absolutely useless. What a waste of money. Save yourself a headache

Either I got a bad filter or the positive reviewers didn't bother to take this thing apart and look at what's inside. While this window screen material might keep flies and mosquitoes out, it will not prevent road dust from grinding through your engine. If you buy this, be prepared to modify it. The comments about it smelling bad are accurate, and I would upgrade the hose if you want to minimize the risk of a fire. I bought it for the airbox itself though, which is okay, hence my two star rating instead of just one star. The cylindrical part is carbon fiber; the end caps and everything else are plastic.
